I think black people have been ingrained to stick together for the most part because of a history of oppression and they look at a victory over a person of another race, by a person of their race, as a victory over that oppression (real or percieved).

It's only natural, especially for those with strong ties to their community. However, because of human nature, you will never have 100% support in any demographic...some will always swim against the tide.
