Re: George Carlin: The Illusion Of Choice
I always had a weird feeling about Carlin.

In his early days he looked like Jesus.

When he was older, he looked like The Architect.

Makes me go HMMMMM.

He speaks speaks the truth and if it makes you cringe more than hope you have some growing up to do.

George Carlin took government by the balls when the government was grabbing everyone else's.

He was a modern day Paul Revere only he isn't yelling that "They are coming!" he's Yelling, "They're Here!"
in warm pursuit...

Re: George Carlin: The Illusion Of Choice
You have NO CHOICE

The candidates are hand picked by TPTB

The candidates will not change anything significant in the system

Free Trade which has killed our economy is okay with both

War - why not?

FED - nothing wrong with some private conglomerate of unknown people controlling monetary policy

TAXES - Bush tax cuts not going anywhere - Obama will have to "compromise" again Romney will just say "we rich folk create jobs"

JOB - both are globalists; both have no plan to bring manufacturing back to America

If Americans want to change America they have to stop believing in the system - the system is a lie.

Op,

If you do not step up to the plate and find and support those who you can believe in then you are left to follow the words of disillusioned comedians who also shunned the mantle of responsibility.

Love George Carlin. Had the experience years ago of going to see him where he was performing at the local community college. We were walking towards the auditorium and saw a figure that looked like George and he turned and saw us and waved which gave him a really human rather than celebrity aura.

Re: George Carlin: The Illusion Of Choice
mmmk. so the system is corrupt and we all know it. So what now?
when are the military generals going to step up and start arresting politicians?
So far the answer has been never. Military men take their orders from politicians. Isn't it time that the military start taking their orders from the supreme authority, God.

I don't think God is a physical entity, but rather a moral compass that we all much gauge ourselves by.

If you don't think God would approve of what you're doing; then don't do it. It's a pretty simple equation and a way to weed out the good from the evil...

I'm amazed by how awake and ahead of his time George Carlin was, and even more amazed that he somehow made a living telling the truth.

That he could make a living with that shows how stupid the US-population is and all other populations in the world as well (we have a few comedians here too who speak the truth) !

It is all fun and giggles when you hear the truth presented in a funny way at some show, then the folks leave the theatre and forget about everything they listened to instead of acting on it.

Not true at all. Comedians and actors have always had a large impact on society simply because they don't have to fear what they say while the message still gets through.

So god wanted the crusades killing millions of innocent people ? I guess so. God probably wanted the American settlers to kill pretty much all the natives in both south and north america ? Right on !

I see your point though, but the little problem is that most religious people are guided by somthing called the 'church' which is pure evil through and through. If there ever is a revolution the churches must be burned first and the rivers must be colored red with the blood of all those pedophile swines called priests.

Re: George Carlin: The Illusion Of Choice
When Carlin was younger he at least tipped his hat to his catholic upbringing and talked about that including his method of prayer. Then, in later videos he calls all religion "bullshit", and scoffs at the premise of an almighty God. George lost it along the way, relying on his own knowledge, wisdom and reasoning, instead of faith which will eventually reward you greatly if you don't walk away from it.

There is a big diference between understanding the truth and act on it. I'm no exclusion. What did I do today to fight the elite, nothing. I guess you did neither. Lets face it, we're armchair warriors who do nothing more than babble on some conspiracy forum. Nothing will change, the elite is in full control.

Here's another one it seems. Probably another christ-tard. Maybe you should check out Carlin's take on Christianity. Having been raised in the faith he said he was "overqualified to poke fun at it."
