Business about to implement 30 HOUR Work Week...TO COMBAT OBAMACARE LAW | |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 833838 11/05/2012 10:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Many workers would welcome this. Less hours, means less time needed to pay for day care and after school care. Parents could spend more time with their kids, something that is badly needed for everyone's good. We all need to pay more attention to our children's upbringing (not sticking them in daycare all the time for the sake of our jobs.) We could have time to garden, so need to buy less food. We could have more time to spend on a hobby that might bring in more income that their slave wages. What is there to spend money on anymore, anyway? Most stuff is junk. We've been there, done that on having stuff, and maybe having time would be better. Workers or not, one thing is certain--you better take care of your health, eat right, meditate, exercise. Health care costs are the one thing you must avoid if you want to get along happily without much money. So more time, less stress might be a good thing. In my humble opinion. |

Only the STUPID ones like yourself would welcome it. You live in la-la land. Housing, utilities, clothing, food, etc. are all going UP. Wages are NOT. Not everyone is in a position to grow their own food. Some live in desert areas or in snowy regions. This was the plan all along and STILL is the plan. This country is being remade to look like Denmark: 84% tax rate, cradle-to-grave socialism, ride a BICYCLE to work, STRICT enforcement of small family policy to rival commie China's, and only part-time work (like driving a garbage truck) that is assigned to you by the feds. Oh, and PLENTY of free time. Everyone is BORED out of their skulls, so they DRINK! Alcoholism rates are through the roof. You can have it! |

You understand that right? So the employer can opt out by cutting your hours. But YOU cannot opt out of buying the insurance or paying the fine. Yeah...that's gonna be awesome! |

Yeah...that's gonna be awesome! Exactly. Also they will group together part time workers and so many will equal one full time worker. This rule will push many small businesses over the 50 employee mark. Though I could switch some of my employees to part time to get under but my tax guy said not so fast. He also said many business owners were going to take the penalty since it will be less money. |

They are all guaranteed 40 hours a week. Right now the only benefit I can afford to give is a week's paid vacation and a great dental plan where I pay 100% of all non-cosmetic work. I will find a way to provide them health care. However, between health care, gas prices, taxes, and insurance...I can't be squeezed much more. My prices will have to go up or I'll be out of business. |

Yeah, but when does all the increasing in overhead stop? 11 cents this year, 16 cents next year, and 2 dollars a decade from now. There's been a noose around every business since I've been alive and they just keep tightening it more and more. Plus TPTB will see "oh hey papa john's can afford to pay another 11 cents per pizza to the system, what else can we implement to get more money?" Seriously what's next? An air tax is probably not even out of the question for the future. It's all bullshit and everyone plays their game. Back in the early days, they used to tar and feather people over the slightest tax increases. Nowadays, people are too scared to do anything. |

Pappa johns should not pass on the cost to the customer, they are rolling in dough, pardon the pun. They shouldn't want their employees bleeding out of their orifices over the pizza. Use common sense people. Corporations are too fuckin cheap to provide any benefits, even before the mandate. |

Yes, Jesus hates those people whose profit margin is ten cents a pizza, and will now be in the red because the red in the WH just stole all profit they have after investing everything they have in their business. Actually, Jesus even loves atheist socialists who use his name to advance their collectivist agenda. |
