I agree. However, very often evil destroys innocence, and this is not of God. Yes, God is all powerful, but to perfect his creation, to rid evil for all eternity, evil is allowed its "day" so to speak. That does NOT mean he is behind it.

There is no one innocent but Jesus, and God used wicked men to bring about the death of that Innocent One in order to free His people from their sin. Acts 2:23-24

So God is behind even the evil that destroys the innocent. That said, God is not Himself evil, and destroys the evil men that do the evil deeds that He ordained that they would do.

If it were not for the grace of God, we would all commit such evil acts. The only reason you or I do not commit such acts is because God restrains the sinfulness in our hearts. He allows such wickedness in order to reveal the truth about sinfulness and what it leads to apart from His grace.
