ok, I actually agree with you that Max has difficulty in what he teaches but not for the purposes that you are stating. Let me ask you a question? Are you then saying that Baptismal Immersion is not essential to salvation? The Bible I read teaches that it is!

1st John 5:13 tells us clearly WHY the Apostle John wrote his Epistle... so that we could KNOW that we have eternal life. Interestingly, John never mentions "baptism" even once.

The bottom line is that Max Lucado straddles-the-fence on the issue of water baptism, speaking out of both sides of his mouth. Lucado teaches that being baptized is the first test of a believing heart. Test of what? Salvation? According to Lucado, yes. He says you're only kicking car tires, but not buying, if you don't get baptized.[1]

There is no test my friend concerning salvation. If you refuse to be baptized because you are afraid to be immersed in water, God understands and it will not prevent you from being saved at all. In fact, maybe you just don't feel like getting baptized, which will not hinder you from being saved. To clarify, the Bible does teach believer's baptism, and you should be baptized as soon as possible and join a local Bible-believing church (preferably Independent Fundamental Baptist); but baptism is only for believers. If you refuse to get water baptized FOR WHATEVER REASON, you are still saved, because you didn't have to get dunked into water in the first place to be saved.

Don't let Max Lucado confuse you. Whereas he makes a big deal over water baptism, hardly any mention is made of water baptism throughout the various Epistles to the churches. Paul even proclaimed that Jesus DIDN'T send him to baptize; but to preach the Gospel instead (1st Corinthians 1:17). Paul further stated that he was GLAD that he didn't baptize any of the church members at Corinth (1st Corinthians 1:14). Any preacher who cannot separate salvation from water baptism in his Gospel is a liar and false prophet.

There is mention of Israel in the beginning of the video. It is odd how we don't hear too much about Iran and Israel right now. I will be watching and keeping my ears open to news, especially in regards to Israel.

I mentioned earlier that I listened to a sermon on Isaiah 53 today. Actually it was a study, and I'm not through with it yet. Jotting down a lot of notes, but what I found fascinating is that this teacher says Isaiah 53 is not primarily a prophecy of the death of Jesus. It is a prophecy of the future and final salvation of Israel. It is a prophecy of the future day in God's redemptive purpose when Israel looks back on the cross and believes.

When the Gospel is no longer being preached because of Communist Police State oppression, perverted Bibles, corrupted churches and worldwide apostasy; then I think the Lord will return, because that is when the fewest people will be getting saved. There are more people against Jesus Christ today than ever before. Most of the people who claim the name of Jesus today are false prophets, following a works-based false gospel, which is exactly what Catholics follow. Manmade traditions are a road to Hell beneath.
