The North American Internet is Under ATTACK! Does your internet connection suck lately? Here's why!

First of all this particular site blows ass for a month now and it's very irritating. Secondly, and more bothersome is the fact that any Google searches I do take about 10-15 seconds to occur no matter which PC i'm on. That has been happening about a month also.

There is plenty that is sinister going on. My brother works for a major telecomunications corp and they have been fighting these guys for quite awhile on behalf of their clients. Whole IP range blocks have been and are still necessary. I wish I could say more but I can't. The poster above who mentioned the kill switch is spot on, but the switch isn't in the hands you may think it is.

I've been experiencing it for weeks. I just assumed it had something to do with solar activity....I don't know.

Oh, is that what it is? I just thought it was slow because of all the simultaneous porn downloads I got going on ;)

Some of the stores I have gone into lately have told me there computers r down and they can only do cash sales - happens more then what I would think is normal.

It's probably "I the government" testing us.

Simply put, the Internet now represents to me a form of primitive telepathy, telepathy based on circuitry, to be exact. Undoubtedly because he deals with the nuts and bolts issues of building networks on a daily basis, and thus has little time for actually gathering heretofore unobtainable information from the Internet, he was unable to understand what I was trying to say.

For that reason, I decided not to get into what led me to this new view of the Internet, but actually it could be called the mother of all "conspiracy theories," i.e., that people many thousands of years ago were telepathic, and that human language was created to divide and conquer the human race. I have absolutely no idea if this theory--well, actually a hypothesis or a contention--is true, but it led me to start thinking about what human life would be like if we didn't have to actually verbalize our thoughts and translate them across the arbitrary barriers we call "natural languages."

Direct t.v been freezing up for about 3 weeks as well,called them several times and all they can say is that some glitches in the system and they are working on it.

I don't know about the internet being under attack but this morning I went to my local Walgreens and their computers/registers were down. The computerized door was going crazy. They wouldn't let people in the store. They wouldn't even take cash.
