Another illusion of choice. The feds can crack down on ANY state law on marijuana ANYTIME they choose. State law does NOT trump federal law on this issue. The feds just chose not to enforce it. YET.

Also since it's still illegal federally but 'legal' locally, you can still get fired for being tested positive on a drug screen.

I am already plotting a way to move next year to get my medicine. I was a patient in Nevada and Michigan but now in North Dakota and they have no legal program here (not even for medical reasons). I have had chronic pain for the past ten years (Carpal Tunnel/Tendonitis) along with a few other things.

I was just told about two weeks ago that I may have glaucoma and will NOT got without my meds.

I don't know how we'll afford the move, but I am not going to take prescriptions that slowly kill my liver and MAY cause sudden death syndrome when there is a wonder plant that helps with most of the things I need.

"Police with Washington County’s drug task force this morning are raiding a well-known medical marijuana dispensary.

Sheriff's Sgt. Bob Ray said the Human Collective dispensary was selling marijuana.

"Once you sell it, essentially you give up your rights to the medical marijuana program," Ray said.

Two people were detained during the search. No arrests were made and no one has been charged with a crime"

Maybe not the wacky strain, but other types should be grown everywhere. Some are high in fiber strength, others high in oil. You can get two or three high yield crops of plants for bio-diesel every year, year after year. The excellent quality of the cloth and rope from the fiber is legion. The main reason for the government outlawing it was to remove competition from the upcoming plastics industry. The used scare tactics and outright lies to pass the laws banning pot.

Hope it is Oregon. I would like to grow it for the essential oils for cancer treatment.
