You would think that now wouldn't you. The truth is that since O has been president there have been more raids on dispensaries than before. No, I won't expect him to do anything that would be as honest as that.

As 'A Friend' says the Obama Admin has cracked down on the Medical Marijuana harder than Bush and Clinton combined, including the raiding and efforts to end the Oakland University education and training for the Marijuana industry ( only of it's kind, obviously it was a threat )

I am not defending Obama, but he's been president for 4 years and TOMORROW we will have 3 states voting to END MARIJUANA PROHIBITION, and 3 other states voting to change the laws / effect Medical Marijuana laws.

Essentially, my personal opinion is that I am a single issue voter, plain and simple I need access to my medicine. Both candidates legitimately show their stance against.

And he doesn't care if the state votes it legal or not, it's FEDERAL as in the DEA that will do the raids. Same as they do right now under his directives.

My husband asked his doctor for a prescription. The doctor laughed at him. He died of cancer. Our first child was only 22 days old when he died.

Now I find out that he never had to die. I can't even begin to tell you how mad I am now that I know.

I suffer from Chronic Pain (Carpal Tunnel/Tendonitis) and now have been recently diagnosed with glaucoma.

Registered in two states for medical marijuana, but moved to one this year that doesn't have this. Not sure I need another ailment but it certainly helps with NUMEROUS things that I have seen my friends successfully treat without dangerous pharmaceuticals.

Insomnia, depression, bi-polar, anxiety can be treated. Cancer and AIDS patients have had much success as well. Obama has nothing to do with my medicine or my ailments and personally doesn't give a fuck as most politicians do not unless it somehow is strongly favored or suggested by their handlers that pay them and others in Congress.

What about the other candidates? I know TWO of the four on our state ballot or for it.

It will be a way to get around Republicans who try to block revenue and Obama doesn't have to worry about reelection.

Lets not forget that President Obama knows his herbs quite well if yo know his history.

These factors (especially the tax aspect) lead me to believe that Obama will ease restrictions on medical marijuana.

I was referring to the blabber about tax revenue. There's this little thing called Schedule I, and you can't tax stuff on it cuz you can't sell anything from it. Obama has had 4 years and in case you haven't read it elsewhere in this thread, he hasn't done much for regulation and tax revenue from weed so far.

Democrats don't want to tax weed as much as they just want to control who smokes it. Big pharma would prefer to have people on anti-psychotic medications they came up with.

Jersey will expand Medical Marijuana dispensaries to bounce back from Hurricane Sandy. New york and Connecticut too because rich people don't want to pay more taxes. Property taxes in Jersey can't go any higher.

Obama will ease restrictions on Medical Marijuana.
He won't have to worry about running again.

Chris Christie has totally stone-walled the NJ law and prevented it from materializing into anything that will actually benefit the residents of the state. Two years after the bill was signed into law by Corzine and there is nothing to show for it in terms of any actual implementation of the law and distribution of medical marijuana to qualifying patients.

NJ also has one of the strictest Medical MJ laws in the country and very few residents will qualify as the law is presently written. This will mean little revenue for the state and little relief from the many who would stand to benefit from its use but will not be eligible in the eyes of the state legislature.

I don't see it happening, but if it did, insomnia, anxiety, and chronic pain are all good ones I suffer from currently.

He didn't, in fact his record shows him more and more against it. Now he has 2 big problems, Colorado and Washington. They now defy federal law. It's only a matter of time before this game of chicken comes to a head.
