Why do I hate CANADIANS so fucking much

Well I look at it this way, and I live in Canada, but have seen the world.

I can go to sleep without having to worry about having my house broken into, or blown up.

I don't have to worry about having my car stolen.

I don't have to worry about my girlfriend being gang raped by thugs.

I don't have to worry about a lot of shit.

I've been to some rough places in Mexico, wake up to gun shots, any japanese car is stolen. Been almost stabbed by blacks in west palm beach.

This place is so cold and boring, but we have clean lakes and the majority of idiots live in Toronto/Vancouver so the rest of the country is open to me.

So go live abroad, there are better places, but this place isn't too bad at the moment.

You're right, we Canadian's do care about the rest of the world and I should have clarified a bit better. Canadian's just care more about what happens at home on Canadian soil and to Canadians before we stick our noses into other countries problems under the guise of "protection of democracy and freedoms" when really it's that countries oil or other resources we are really after.

Fight some hard battles?? Been there done that. Long before the u.s. Canada has through out its history has excelled and outperformed the u.s. in the theatre of war. We do, we accomplish, and we learn. Something the states has yet to figure out. The list just goes on and on from there.

*In hard lessons i do not count the 9-11 attacks. A truly horrendous crime for any nation to endure, but guess what?
Canada hasn't had to tough that one out because we don't trot around the globe pissing off every other nation. No one is lining us up for attack.

I'm sure you wouldn't debate canada's role in the world wars so i am presuming you mean Iraq war 1&2 and also Afghanistan.

First Iraq war was about securing freedom for a nation illegally invaded and annexed. Job was accomplished and the war ended. No pushing into Iraq, no oil deals sustained out of it. I supported that war.
Second Iraq war im pretty sure everyone agrees was more to do with securing oil than removing a dictator formerly supported by the u.s.
I did not support that war nor did the canadian government.

Afghanistan was and is about removing an extremist threat not just to the ideals and fundamentals of democracy but to every right minded individual across the planet. We are there trying to secure a free society for them. Free so they can seek an education without the fear of being killed for doing so. Free so they can have a true voice in who runs their nation without fear of being killed for doing so. We are there because the peoples of a suffering nation asked us to help.

Absolutely NO resources to be had in Afghanistan other than one measly oil pipeline that doesn't work and hasn't flowed in decades.
I do not believe you meant to do so, but that statement comes across as a slap in the face to every one of our brave men and women that venture forth to uphold freedom, universal equality and moralistic values at the high cost of their own lives too many times.
We do this willingly and not because we are mindless drones following orders, but because we believe in the freedoms and equalities of a true democracy and every human beings right to live under those conditions. Any canadian soldier has the lawful right to refuse an order he/she feels is unlawful or the conscienciously object too.

How sad this thread is. The OP is really showing his ignorance about Canada so I personally doubt he's ever spent much time here (that's preferable to believing he's just plain stupid)

No point in trying to educate him on our military and it's values. Americans sincerely believe they are out "saving the world and giving it the non-existent American freedoms. It is a sad truth that many of your "proud" American soldiers abroad rent the Canadian army uniform to go out safely. It never seems to occur to Americans that people you are helping don't hate you.


For those who think we're no different than Americans and that we're just a nation of sheep with no identity, they miss just how Canadians really do take a stand. We're just more subtle.

Americans go on and on about their right to bear arms and Canadians being unarmed sheep they need to protect. Funny thing is that there are more guns per person in Canada than in the US. We're quite happy not having punks running around with semi-automatics and hidden hand guns. When our government decided we had to register our long guns you saw how Canada dealt with that. We may have calmly registered one or two of our guns but most of them remained right where they were and we considered it none of the government's business. Because it was a calm effort by the majority there no longer is a gun registry.

Canadians are far from perfect. There are good and bad in every country, it's called being human. More than any other quality it is the American arrogance that blinds you to the fact that you, in your apathy and blind flag- waving, have allowed your government to strip you of all your rights and freedoms.

You cannot see that your greatest resource is your people. You spare no money bailing out rich bankers and big corporations, you pay for your politician's health care while claiming that another country who chooses to place the health of their people above profits of business " socialists" it seemed giving free handouts to millionaires is okay but not helping each other.

To the person who claimed that Canadians throw their trash around your country - really? Your streets are so littered with trash half our citizens must have been there. Funny though, when your American film crews are here making movies they have a hell of a time "Americanizing" our streets. Seems like the garbage they toss about to do the job gets picked up before they're ready to shoot their scenes.........do we really throw that much trash in all your cities that your film crews need to add it here to "fake" your country? To other Americans, for generations our two countries have been a triumph to friendship and respect between two countries, but that was something else that was thrown away after 9/11. Isn't it time we repaired that rather than hate each other?

I am Australian but lived in Toronto for 20 years. I love Canada and the Canadians. They are respectful people who you feel very comfortable living with.. many pleasant memories of my time in Canada. I do know that when I crossed back into Canada after a visit into the States I immediately felt SAFE. There is a solidarity and a feeling of shared values - an old fashioned following the rules sort of thing. Growing up in Australia it was the same. Now it is different - so much crime here - not safe to walk the streets at night - very much like the American culture. I would return to Canada any day if I had the money ... My husband (now deceased) a Canadian and I established an insurance business from scratch. We were very successful but it was the support we received from all that enabled us to forge ahead. I agree with a former poster - we did not worry about our cars being stolen - being raped on the street,or our apartments broken into and robbed. It was a safe environment - HOORAY FOR THE CANUCKS... Best country ever....
