Well, good on you for trying. I do understand. I've been told before I needed to run. I don't have any desire. I've helped with a few campaigns and everyone just seems so slimey. There is just such a feeling of criminality and dishonesty around those people. Its liek they're all on the take or something.

I think that whatever is the most popular couple responses, is probably most likely to happen. Seems to be economic collapse at the moment.

A man i admire left politics because he believed it forced him to compromise his beliefs. That is the nature of politics. He now builds businesses and contributes huge amounts of money to people he respects, and he believes he has done more to help our nation than he could have as a senator.

Yeah .... you've all apologized .... BUT YOU'VE MADE NO REAL CHANGES!!! We are all still the great unseen and unwanted people who live among you, but continue to be repressed and obstructed. The same mind set is in place, and my people continue to be held back, denied promotions, ignored, openly insulted. I've even been insulted BECAUSE I SPEAK TOO WELL and do not use Eubonics! What kind of crap is that?! And this holds true within the corporate America infrastructure, where many qualified black men and women can NOT get ahead, while the media continues to promote self-hate among our race, separatism (black man/white women, in many of the commercials), and the use of stereotypical images of 'Saffronia' type women in their ad campaigns. And while I'm at it, WHY is that you now seldom see images of beautiful black women with beautiful black, long, flowing hair, as used to be shown in the past? Now, instead, many of the black women appear with shorn off hair, short kinky Afros, braids, and many are overweight decrying the real beauty that black women have been known for in the past?! Is it because the competition might be too rough?! Where are all the black fashion designers? Especially the FEMALE black designers? What happened to all the black super models? Why is it only a handful - LESS THAN 5 - of black female anchors on the national news shows?! There was one on ABC-TV news and she was going great guns ... then she suddenly announces one day that she has Cancer! Went through all her chemo, etc., returned to work, then after a while ...... BAM - she's ill again and needs a bone marrow transplant. Very mysterious!

Although I have mostly worked in offices that were predominantly white in the past (most who had huge problems when dealing with black intelligent men or women), I work in an office that is predominantly Latino, then Persian, then Asian, per percentages - and I have no real problem with that; the REAL problem comes from my being over-qualified for the job, being passed over for raises and promotions, and every little thing that I do gets put under a giant microscope, while my sister/other-race coworkers do the very same things I am doing with no blow-back! Now tell me that there's no vestige of discrimination there!

There's more examples I could site, but I will keep it simple, but it is MORE than evident that the racial outlook in this country had NOT really changed in all of these years ... it is merely hidden behind polite demeanor from those who still harbor racist feelings and have issues with the black race. So just forget the milk-toast apologies ... if you really want to PROVE that you are not racists, than DO THE RIGHT THING and extend a hand to your fellow other-race brother or sister, fling wide open the gates of opportunity, and begin to let REAL freedom ring in by sharing your world with us all!

Great post. Interestingly, I have black and latino friends who openly admit they feel uncomfortable with "Diversity" policies at their jobs, because they wonder if colleagues question whether they earned their positions.

I meant to add ... that this is where the REAL CHANGE should start within America. This country is big enough for ALL of us, of all races, religions and creeds. We are now what seems to be at a time of closing ... we truly do need to CLOSE racist and oppressive ideas and agendas, and open to NEW CHANGE.

Agree fully with your last post. Let's keep the government out of it. We all know how to get along like adults! If a business, school, whatever, chooses racist policies, THEY suffer the consequences of lost employees, customers, students, etc., while the others reap the benefits.

It's lining up perfectly, I'd say in a matter of years it'll be here if not sooner. Worldly things will not be able to save you throught the trib. Turn to Jesus and he will save you from the trib. He said so in the bible. He loves us.
