I think what happened was the Germans did with the Jews the same thing the Americans did with the Japanese.

The only difference is the Germans lost.

If you look at the piles of dead folk in all of those pictures, they're all emaciated. Starved, sick, whatever. If you're gassed as soon as you step off of the train (which "they" said occured) you don't abruptly starve to death.

When Germany was losing the war, food and medicine was scarce...And in those last days, I am sure many prisoners the Germans had taken, as well as the jews in the camps, didn't get all the medical attention they needed and died, or didn't get the food required and starved. If the US lost, our camps with the Japanese may have looked very similar. When there isn't enough food for even a quarter of your soldiers to have a meal, and there isn't enough medicine to treat combat troops, POWs aren't given priority when it comes to rationing those things.

Also, people don't realize just how nasty war is. Those emaciated prisoners...That's not unique to Nazi Germany. Look at POWs from any war, any country, and you'd swear it was from the "Holocaust". Look up pictures of Andersonville prison from the Civil War. Many of the infamous pictures of "Holocaust" bodies are indeed POWs and not innocent Jewish civilians.

So, many of the pictures show legitimate POWs, and it's pretty clear they weren't executed, and there are similar examples of emaciated prisoners coming from many countries and any war you can think of. That's certainly doesn't make what happened to all those poor people any less horrible, but it wasn't a deliberate genocide against people of the jewish faith.

People like to think that those horrible pictures they saw of the "Holocaust" are the result of a particularly evil people during a particularly evil period, something that never happened before and never happened since, but it's just not true. That happens in war, every war. That kind of thing isn't unique, and it's that troubling fact people don't want to accept.

This is of course, just how I see it. I wasn't there, nor were you, so we don't really know for sure what went down.

Hmmm, there does seem to be a helluva lot of "holocaust survivers" considering they were supposed to be "death camps" and its true, whenever you see that one horrendous clip of the bulldozer, bulldozing hundreds of bodies in that hole, they are all emaciated bodies.

If the Nazis were so efficient none of them would have the chance to starve to death..

I think the Holocaust has been done to death on the forum (no pun intended) and the evidence points to gross exaggeration. The more interesting question should be...why did the Allied leadership and the Jewish community as a whole seek to utterly destroy Germany?

If you think about it, look what Versailles Dictate did to Germany after the first World War. Contrary to popular propaganda, Germany did not start the war yet Germany was forced to sign this so-called treaty (claiming responsibility) to stave off a British blockade that was starving the German citizens to death. (A blockade that was still not lifted for weeks afterward.)

Fast forward to the early thirties. Hitler comes to power and within a few months, "World Jewry declared economic war" on the entire German nation. This was before the Nazi's had enacted any legislation affecting the German Jews.

After the war began American president Franklin Roosevelt was doing everything possible to provoke a response from either Germany or Japan so the US could enter the war, even violating international law to achieve his end.

Toward the end of the war, The Russian Red Army was allowed to pillage and rape their way through Berlin while Eisenhower stood by and did nothing to prevent it. As part of the Potsdam agreement the Soviet Union stripped German factories of all their machinery and forced German workers to go to the Soviet Union to build factories and train Soviet workers in their operations.

A little known fact of the war is that hundreds of thousands of Germans were forced into slave labor in both the Soviet Union and France lasting until 1955 in Russia.

Then comes the absurd Nuremberg Tribunal which goes down in the annals of one of the greatest travesties of justice in modern history.

No, the Allies were not content to simply win a war, the total destruction of a defeated enemy and their country was the order of the day.

The real question is why.

There were approximately 8 Million jews living Nazi occupied europe. Where did they all go?
They didn't all go to the US or to modern day israel following the collapse of Nazi Germany.

The nazi's did some terrible things, to the jews, gypsys, gays, disabled individuals, Russian, Polish and other civilians, etc etc etc. The holocaust was very real, and affected countless individuals.

I pity those who find the need to refute and ignore the pain so many endured.
