We have flooding in some areas in Malaysia too, currently.

its always flooding somewhere.

Sea floor is rising in different areas..

Monsoon deluge begins a month early Malaysia

PETALING JAYA - The heavy rainfall and flooding have come a lot earlier than expected, considering that last year's northeast monsoon season only started a full month later.

"We were expecting the rainfall to come early, but not this early," said National Security Council secretary Datuk Mohamed Thajudeen Abdul Wahab.

Last year, he said, the council had braced for floods at the end of November, but "the waters only rose in the first week of December.

"This year, the rains started in October," Thajudeen said, adding that the council was nonetheless ready for the worst, with all its national level meetings on flood preparations having been concluded a month ago.

Glad I dumped my house on Narragansett Bay a few years ago. If I had waited I would of been screwed because after Sandy nobody is gonna want any oceanfront property.

Venice is a flooded city, sometimes it floods a little more.

Well i wouldn't have posted a thread about it but when you start reading unusually high tides well then maybe they are not that normal...

Floodings caused by tides should not be taken lightly especially since the moon and sun are involved in the creation of tides.

wrong, venice is floods over 100 times a year. when id did not in years past. this was all predicted

8inchs of sea level rise in last century. Not a huge amount, but its enough to make very low lying areas flood that didn't use to. Kids today will be the last generation to know Venice as we do from anything other than history books. Greenland is going to go fast now that the arctic ocean ice that protects it is vanishing.

Climate scientists got it wrong, they where way too conservative. Normalcy bias, just as Bloomberg refused to believe Sandy could hit anything beyond zone A. Climate scientists refused to believe fully what models showed, and got hung up on wimpy sounding global averages.
Arctic warming is drastic, and it has drastic weather impacts.

70% of venice was under water... Something not seen in 140 years!

Hmmm what's intersting to know is that this was not caused by rain.

It was caused by "UNUSUALLY HIGH TIDES" this should give us a hint about what to expect in the near future.

Could also be Atlantis rising back up. That would raise sea levels by quite a bit.

i had a dream last night it was flooding and for some reason i had a really big beard

from ice melt raising the oceans, plus of course sea floor could be an effect in some areas too, diverting water.
