Any dog that has the capacity to kill a human being shouldn't be legal to be held as a pet, period, no matter how good you can train it and whatnot.

Any dog has the capacity to kill a human being.... my pup got attacked by a St. Bernard about a year ago... the dog was people agressive as well...maybe we should ban all St. Bernards too

I say this test is flawed. Read its description...it fails the dog for panic, without recovery. This could mean that the dog is scared, and just wants to run the other direction...not eat you alive.

I agree with you bros. Before people want to own a dog they really should educate themselves in dog psychology. Its not the breed of the dog that makes it have a bad reputation, its the ignorant, lazy un-educated people that want a pitbull just for the "look"

A little FYI for people that do not have much experience with dogs. If it ever happens that you see a aggressive dog and you don't know if it will attack you or not. The best thing to do in such a situation is to completely avoid any contact with the dog. This means. NO LOOK - NO TOUCH - NO TALK

By not looking, touching or talking to the animal "COMPLETELY". This will minimize the level of tension intensity. The last thing you want to do is make eye contact with a dominate/stressed/agitated dog. This will increase his level of dominance thus can lead to be aggressive.

So, the symbolism is...?

I know pitbulls have a bad rep. but i really do believe all breeds of 'dangerous dogs' are only dangerous when encouraged to behave that way from their owners/trainers.

Just recently while at home with my soft as shit huskyXalasatian and parsons jack russel X staffordshire bull terrier i suddenly saw a group of three dogs right near my front door. I was coming up from the fields with my dogs...am very remote and it was weird to see a group of unknown dogs on my land.

2 of the dogs were huge rottweilers and one was an old shaggy sheepdog.

My dogs ran up to them barking...i immediately freaked seeing the rottweilers and yelled at my dogs to get inside. I also got my baseball bat i have by the door to get ready to split up the pack fight i was sure to follow.

It took some work to get my dogs inside but i did and yelled for my boyfriend.

The rottweilers came up to me wagging their short stubby tails!
It was the old shaggy sheep dog who was nasty...growling...coincidentally had blood around it's neck from a chicken cull it had indulged in at another neighbours farm i found out later.

So i was kinda ashamed to assume the worst because of their breed...my dogs just wanted to play and greet them and they didn't start a fight - it was all my fear that made my own dogs more protective.

It's the training the animals gets and exposure to other dogs/people/children....exposure to all elements to life that makes ALL dogs great pets and less likely freaked-out killers.

Those pitbulls obviously have an irresonsible owner.
I believe in licensing to have pets due to the neglect that goes on worldwide.

I would GLADLY spend a week proving my competence and knowledge with animals...pay a fee for a license. That way it would cut out the wheat from the chaff of so-called 'animal carers'.

Damn....that poor horse...but again...horses are herd roaming animals...yet put in pens that don't even give them room to kick at attacking dogs....(need i say more?)...damn this irresponsible world.
