I just dont understand whats holding the releif efforts back is it due to transportation , power grid down , i dont know, but here in central pennsylvania when we werehit with major flooding in sept 2011 FEMA was here in record time 36 hrs maybe less, and they did an outstanding job , no kidding they were the pinnacle of perfection in everyway , no one had even a little complaint about FEMA and there staff, so what is different here , i would imagine it is the scale of devastation much larger now with sandy, and not enough manpower , i just cant say what is the hold up, but i can say from personal experience, FEMA is top notch , please dont vent on these men and woman it only makes things worse. keep the faith guys,

It's nearly the same exact thing...except, these people are non-combatant victims of natural disaster and they weren't attacked by terrorists. Far worse! Kids. Old People. Sick people. None of the natural disasters I have experienced were anything short of chaos. The bigger the disaster, the more the chaos. Yes, Obama could have and should have done all manner of things and this is not as bad as Katrina although it must seem so to the people suffering. There is never any excuse for it other than total incompetence on the part of government. I know, why don't we put them in charge of our healthcare as well??? I mean, what could go wrong there?
