I'm sure if you think for a second you can see that most likely the crazy guy was attacking them and the cops were trying to get away from the nut case by slamming the door...

Cops should have fucked up both of his hands. This guy is a loud mouth lout and deserved what he got. Torture my ass!

Use of Force Continuum:

A "resisting subject" are the key words here. Once the individual is restrained all force by officers should stop immediately.

There is no excuse for what these officers did. They are not judge & jury to hand out punishments. Not their job.

Granted, it is tempting to "punish" scumbags, murderers, rapists, child molesters but it is not part of their job! If they can't handle baby-sitting the scumbags then they need to find another line of work.

And be sure similar is probably happening at a jail near you but very few incidents get picked up by media or anyone else. The department covers it up and offers a settlement before it goes to a lawsuit. You, the public, & the media don't even hear about it. You just pay for it is all out of your taxes! And you are not even aware how much you pay for these settlements!

Do those of you that think this guy got what he deserved feel good about your taxes going for something like this?

Being crazy is one thing, but being violent and crazy is dangerous...he doesn't belong out in public and why spend money we don't have keeping him behind bars?
