This thread is utter nonsense. To listen to all this whining about not voting given the rest of the BS you all talk about here on GLP, then it seems obvious to me that Romney should have won. Quoting: I voted and am proud of it 27095381
Instead of whining foolish nonsense here, go out and do something constructive in your communities.
Oh, and by the way, the market is down big today because all of the GOP 1%-ers are upset because the VOTE didn't turn out the way they wanted it to.
Your post is fucking laughable. I'd love to do something constructive in my community, unfortunately I'm stuck working 50 hours a week just so I can have somewhere to go after work to shower, eat, and sleep.
You'll likely never understand and that's why we're pissed.
Exactly,i am so sick and tired of being a government slave, but i am equally tired of brainwashed people who always have an answer when they are completely clueless about what the f is going on.
No shit.. Most people are simply working to survive. In other words, they are actually PAYING to be able to work..
Hafta have a home, clean clothes, food and a shower just to be able to work.. And when all of your pay goes to those simple things, with nothing left over and no way to stash money aside, you're a slave.. It's a vicious cycle. Work to get paid, get paid so you can continue to go to work.
Alright Opie. I'll buy that. In my country I can say it's pretty much the same shit because we are turning into a fucking Venezuela where - despite the many parties we have - only one person rules by himself or thru others (the current president is just a pawn).
But let's imagine for a moment that a world revolution brings down this whole shit and all of the sudden WE DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANY OF THIS. Then what?
See...? If the system suddenly crashes it will be a downfall to plain anarchy. Civilization will be thrown back to barbaric ages because most people, the sheeple, THEY NEED to be ruled.
One could say if we had rules who were fair, kind, honest and rightful we would not be having this discussion. In fact our "rulers" are far from that.
So I guess the point is: IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU VOTE OR NOT. The vote is not the issue. THE QUALITY OF THE PEOPLE YOU VOTE FOR IS.
As someone said in the first pages, when EVERYBODY and EVERYONE start giving two shits for voting and stay home, something might change. But until at least ONE sheep keeps voting, then is like you said OP, the ball is going to keep rolling....
Unfortunately, changes like this big don't happen over night.... However it's nice to see that apparently many people realize this today than a couple decades ago. That gives me hopes for a better future, even if it's a far one.
