Polls are still open....

Because the polls are still open.

I am not in Cali , however I very much hope that passes. It will I hope open the door for other states passing GMO labeling.

Yeah, but shouldn't we get some exit polls results by now?

I hope it passes. The government controlled food pumped with chemicals needs to die, and this is a huge first step.

There were no exit polls where I voted. Myself and 5 family members voted for it, and I would LOVE to hear ANY info anyone has on it.

KCBS reported exit polls on other Props like the Gov's tax increase but I didn't hear anything on 37.

I, too, hope it passes...but if it doesn't, can a petition be started to get it on the ballot again? How soon? What are the options?

Monsanto et al invested millions and did a good job of telling people it would cost money and result in lawsuits, that there were too many loopholes. Perhaps a rewriting to address that the next time it goes to the polls.

Anyway, I hope it doesn't result in a final "end" if it doesn't pass this time...it's just too darn important to let a loss (if that happens) stop this movement. Maybe another state will try for it. Never give up!

So I'm sending positive thoughts to CA voters and expecting the best! And since I'm not in CA, I vote every day with my dollar. No GMOs in my cart ever, as long as I can still tell the difference. I even ban companies that only sell some GMOs, as well as thier organic subsidiaries.

It is unlikely...all organic food stores I saw here in SoCal support PROP 37. Why would they support it if it harms them?

Well, give him a chance to defend his position. After all we should have a dialog.

Checking in from Ventura County, CA. Everyone I know voted for it. We shall see! Monsanto, DuPont, Cargill, ADM, Sygenta, et al did a great job demonizing it so it will be interesting to see the outcome.

This is really one of the biggest non election votes in the country. What a huge win if the folks in Cali could pass this!
