I'm waiting to see as well. I have had a card in two states for medical marijuana, but moved to a state this summer with nothing legal and nothing for medical patients.

Re: How are the Marijuana initiatives going?
Three states — Colorado, Oregon, and Washington — have initiatives on the ballot to end the arrests of marijuana users and finally tax and regulate cannabis. All three races are extremely close, and whether or not you take the time today to reach out to voters in these three states could mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Do these even matter? Since there's a pretty good chance the federal government will still enforce the anti-drugs laws, and if it goes to the supreme court I doubt they'll vote in favour of it being a state issue

I don't smoke it, never have - but believe people should have the freedom to make the choice. Also, I believe it is way less harmful than alcohol. In fact, I am firmly convinced it can be extremely beneficial for medical conditions. Hope the people of the three states end the arrests - victory for mary jane.

Still, it's a big middle finger to the establishment and the phony war on drugs if it passes.

Same with the GMO labeling prop 37 in California. I sure hope that passes.

if they do pass. in the near future the states will begin to make money off it as in taxes. this will led to other states to legalize weed and tax it. crime rates drop. money made. perhaps the feds will allow the choice to be state to state. it's a win win for all parties.altcdnflagbonghit

Obama has harmless medical patients arrested and gives drug cartels guns.

"Voters in Massachusetts approved a law Tuesday allowing people to use marijuana for medicinal purposes, NBC News projected.

It’s one of six states in which voters are being asked to decide on a wide array of laws around legalizing marijuana for medicinal or recreational purposes.

In three of those states – Colorado, Oregon and Washington – voters were deciding whether to allow people over 21 to use marijuana for any purpose.

In addition to Massachusetts, voters in Arkansas also are being asked to approve the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes. In Montana, they are being asked whether to revamp an existing law to make it more restrictive"

I agree it will be the catalyst that causes the rest of the states to legalize.

One can compare it to how consumer fireworks became legal for most of the country. Back in the 1970's very few states allowed their use today there's only 4 states that continue the ban.

It will be the same with Marijuana

Problem with these weed props is that the people that support them mostly don't vote and are to lazy to go and support it. This was seen when it was on the ballot in CA and it failed.

Except for the marijuana smokers themselves.

Here in Oregon the Medical Marijuana program started small, it was $100 to start and $50 for renewal. Then more and more people joined the program, and when the State gov't realized that not only was the Program the ONLY State Program which was paying for itself but it was actually producing a surplus they reacted like pigs at the feeding trough. Last year they decided that it would now cost $300 to start, $200 to renew, plus an extra $50 if you are having someone else grow it for you. So, think of your Granny trying to get by on Social Security, she will now have to come up with $250 PER YEAR (plus the cost of a doctor visit in order to get a current copy of her records) just to avoid being dragged off to jail (probably after being tazed). That's a BIG chunk of money for someone on a fixed income! AND it is STILL no guarantee that the Feds won't harass her, because they don't recognize States' Rights.
