As a business owner I produce jobs for those who are actually willing to WORK. So if I'm a parasite then how are my tax dollars spread ALL over the world to help every other countries cluster F's when we have plenty of issues here.

Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans,  blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want  steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal legations. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use  drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing.  Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be  inventoried.  If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your  own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job.  It may be cleaning the roadways  of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you.  We  will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo  and speakers and put that money toward the "common good.."

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary.  If you want our money, accept our rules.  Before you  say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider  that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing  absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices.  The current system  rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov't subsistence, you no longer can VOTE!  Yes,  that is correct.  For you to vote would be a conflict of interest.  You will  voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov't  welfare check.  If you want to vote, then get a job.

Why should mentally unbalanced people like you be allowed to vote?

And nazis should not only be banned from voting but also banned from society (And send to jail).

Federal assistance HAD a good basis to bedin with it was MEANT to be temporary. To help through any tough time in your life get back on your feet and find work.

Define "welfare". My wife and I have been eating at Salvation Army and are now asking for help from them to keep us in our apartment for a month while I continue to try and find work.

I served my country and do not consider asking for help "when needed" being a parasite. I have done everything in my power to keep us afloat and if getting a meal a day or asking for help with rent for one month is being a parasite, then I hope no one in your family EVER becomes homeless or sick.

WE FIGHT....we TRY and we SURVIVE..but we are not parasites. The V.A. has taken MONTHS to diagnose and now say I have glaucoma but I can't get in for another two months. I may be losing my eyesight and with carpal tunnel/tendonitis, there are a lot of things I can not do anymore, but I just want to work and be productive like everyone else.

I think I SHOULD be allowed to vote and I DID vote today. I have not asked for food stamps and my wife washes her clothes in the bath tub...so, if asking for a little assistance get help is wrong, then I guess we should have given up when things first started going bad.

I left a good job years ago to care for my ailing grandfather..took him a year (was supposed to be a week) to pass. My job was then gone. THEN, my mother got bad and I cared for her for four/five years. When she passed I had to withdrawal from a wonderful program in college and was now homeless. The V.A. didn't help and I had nowhere to turn. TELLING me I should be allowed to vote as a VETERAN is shameful on you.

lots of people work hard, but thanks to people like you they make an unliveable wage and could use some help and you hate them for that to. you can thank people like yourself for the state of this country.
