The problem with prophets is they're not wearing a watch when they get their visions or impressions.

But he was right about Jimmy Savile
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20463040

Icke claimed in 1991 that Saddam Hussien was dead, you can see it in the video posted in the original post of this thread. That was only about 15 years early, are you seriously going to say that it was just a matter of time and therefore he was right? That's really funny! You'll also see in the video that Icke said "The Price is Right" wouldn't be on TV by 2012, it obviously didn't happen.

Here are some other predictions that prove conclusively that Icke's no prophet:

"In defiance of Icke's predictions for the early 1990s, Cuba is still to be found on the map of the real world, New York City remains upright and the white cliffs of Dover are still standing."

Since you're a true Icke believer and his new 2012 is around 2016, if it's considerably after 2016 and nothing much has changed the way Icke has predicted will you finally admit he's wrong?

Tell us how this fits together:

David dIcke claims to be a prophet.(He said that on the BBC documentary "David dIcke, Was he right?" BTW)

David dIcke has made many inaccurate predictions including about the 2012 hoax.

David dIcke now claims that 2016 is the approximate big year and that 2012 is a "diversion" after he himself promoted the 2012 Mayan hoax and made totally inaccurate predictions/prophecies about it!

How can you defend Icke after all that?

Let me point out that this is just scratching the surface of the shady stuff he's said and promoted.

I didn't notice one thing he said that i found disagreeable.
 Quoting: sssss

You agree with the following then:

1. Icke is some kind of prophet.

2. Icke hears the voice of what Christians call God.

3. Saddam Hussein was dead 1991 (not 2006 when he actually died.)

4. The Price is Right would not be on TV in 2012 (it's still on CBS).

5. After Icke had promoted the 2012 Mayan hoax he's now changed the big date to 2016.

6. Icke said "I'm full of shit" and that's disagreeable?

He did not claim to be a prophet
 Quoting: sssss

"People have perceived me as claiming to be some kind of prophet. Now, it depends how you perceive the word 'prophet.' If you perceive it as someone sitting in a darkened room and getting it from the ether. Then, um, I'm not that kind of prophet really." - David dIcke

That statement doesn't mean he's saying that he is some kind of prophet?

Just to make sure you get this straight:

"People have perceived me as claiming to be some kind of prophet. Now, it depends how you perceive the word 'prophet.' If you perceive it as someone sitting in a darkened room and getting it from the ether. Then, um, I'm not that kind of prophet really." - David dIcke
 Quoting: pray_Italy

He also claimed to be the son of god so claiming to be a prophet is lower down the scale. lol

We're talking about the fact that Icke claimed to be a prophet on a BBC special "David dIcke, Was he right?" that was broadcast to all of Britain. If he's making 'errors in judgment' when he's doing an interview for that show knowing the importance of it to his career then I'd propose that in itself is proof that he can't be trusted at all.

Another important point about that is that program was aired in 2006 after many of Icke's predictions had failed or been proven to be totally wrong.

Only a charlatan continues to call themselves a prophet after many failed predictions. But his fans will twist things around to make it sound like Icke is not at fault.

INTERNAL Isotopes in the body (coming from food, air) is much more harmful than EXTERNAL exposure from cosmic rays, xrays, microwaves, cellphone, wifi, etc.

Internal isotopes stay in the body, they keep irradiating tissue in a small area for the rest of your life.
External exposure is brief

It is something to be concerned about, even at 'low' levels like 0.100 microsievert (over TEN TIMES more than normal), also isotopes accumulate over time, most people will have no problems until 5-10 years later...

When someone says it is safe and nothing to be worried about, please educate yourself.

I strongly disagree, we are not responsible enough to use it safely, and there's other safer and cheaper ways of generating power.

In a Financial Times interview this week, Jeff Immelt, chief executive of GE, said nuclear power was “really hard” to defend financially, when compared both with gas-fired generation and certain renewables. “At some point, really, economics rule,” he added. Mr Immelt is not some disinterested bystander. GE, one of the pioneers of civil nuclear power in the 1950s, still produces reactors through a joint venture with Hitachi of Japan.

Our Radiation here in Tokyo was ca. 0.065 Microsievert
and not 0.010 Microsievert!

Oops, I misread for a second, my mistake, still the difference between exposure and ingestion is the important issue.

I disagree with the use of Nuclear Energy too
but i am not the majority, also no one asked me!

If you're an Icke fan and he says "Japan is over." and you don't say anything about it or try to help at all does that mean you don't care about Japan?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5267970

Great question. Do Icke's fans care about Japan or do they not believe/trust Icke after all?

In my opinion those are the only two options here. I'd appreciate it if an Icke fan would answer.

How the fuck are you suposed to do anything about Japan silly you.How is to care about them gona help?
Go there and tell them to stop it and turn of the fukushima disaster? Its like 127 miljon people living there god luck trying to convince them all. Nobody can do nothing about anything over there, they are to proud to ask for help. So yea its fuckt together with the rest of the world. If you would take a full day and listen for the full 10h Icke is speaking, you could learn something about your self and society.

That's what I mean, he think saddam is dead, but maybe he was looking at 2003, because he's not actually there
and I don't take icke seriously, so I dunno why you're rambling on

He was right about Jimmy Savile

The way you're describing a prophet the word would mean nothing.

The way you're describing it, I could say your grandmother is dead and if she dies/died anytime before or after my 'prophecy" then my 'prophecy' was right. Is that what you're saying?

David dIcke was about 15 years off on his Hussein prediction and you're defending that like it's still the act of a prophet?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27205404

I'm saying that the big problem when prophets/psychics make predictions, isn't that they're making things up, but they can only see from their point of view, which is very narrow, so they can't tell actually when something will happen, or whether it'll happen in our reality.

I don't think he is a prophet. I'm just saying he's right about Jimmy Savile.

Evaluate everything.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20463040

If I'm understanding you right then by your standards being about 15 years off could be considered an 'accurate' 'prophecy'?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27207808

If someone described WW2 in great detail (hitler, stalin and everything) but though it would happen in the 1920s, is that person wrong?
I'm just giving you something to think about, I really don't care, I don't think Mr Ick is a prophet.

But I had a feeling he was right about Jimmy Savile.

Oh I see what you mean I think, that we have to learn how to cope with the radiation because it's already here
I agree then

The following video describes exactly where Icke's stuff will lead you. Can you debunk the video? If you can't then you can't claim what you just did.

I can see your point about making predictions that are far in the future. That brings up an interesting question about 2012. If the 2012 "Mayan Calendar" events happen in 2050 or something will the 2012ers still be claiming they were right?

As far this discussion, Icke claimed that Hussein was dead in 1991 and Hussein actually died in 2006. Forget about Icke for a second, would you say under any circumstances that that type of statement/prediction was an 'accurate' 'prophecy'?

I'm only asking because I find this all fascinating, thanks for answering.
