When it Sun gives off a CME of notable magnitude, the ringing in my ears abates to a large degree.

Can you consider why this might happen? Prior to losing electrical power in NYC for some days last week, I had wondered if the ringing might be related to a perceived cacaphony of the electromagnetic energy present in our urban environment...which proved to be faulty supposition once the grid went down and the ringing remained. I had decided that CME interference was managing to cancel out whatever was causing this din my ears were picking up.

Any ideas, menza? I cherish silence.
