None of this is making sense....How did Obama win? | |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 24103775 11/07/2012 02:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Everyone knows that it was GW Bush's policies that pushed the US economy over the edge. Yet Rumpney promised Bushite voodoo economics all over again. Lower the national income, raise the national expenses with more defense spending, cold wars with China and Russia, probably a hot war with Iran. Rompney just was not appealing to the ordinary non-nutty, non-religious fanatic, American. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1425437 11/07/2012 02:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don't quite understand you folks who say Romney was pandering to the far right, from my perspective he ran as moderate a campaign as any Republican could. If you think he was far right, man you must be pretty far left yourself. He was anything but. Great analysis above by some. I don't see the reasoning behind saying he won because of minorities, and that it means whites are done for as a voting demographic. Mainstream figures I saw reported that of all voters, 73% were white. 73%! Talk population changes all you want, that's still a big majority. It also means that whites put Obama back in office. With the changes coming, the only way I see Republicans surviving is to throw out the bullshit, and target whites and whites alone. They will never win over the blacks and browns, but with times sure to get harder for whites, they could Ppconceivably take the white vote, which at 73% is really the only thing that matters. Btw, those statistics also indicate that no matter how much talk there is about browns being the new dominant group, apparently only less than 20% of them were either legally able to vote, or bothered to show up. |

| Me User ID: 15187900 11/07/2012 02:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Bush is not the reason the economy is where its at you lame people (Liberals) This all started with Clinton...When he signed into law that made it affordable that anyone.....and I mean anyone can buy a house. He said to Fannie mae and Freedi Mac that if you do not loan these people who cannot afford a home, you will be fined....Thats where these sub prim loans came in....everyone stared buying homes...it was crazy...then in 5 years from when you sign the mortgage papers, you payments will increase....These loans started to increase while Bush was in office....sure the economy boomed during the Clinton years because after he leaves office, the next President will have to worry about the mess...Bush cought on to this and had hearings, thepeople in charge...Barney Frank...said...Nothing wrong here, move along.....people started to loose their homes all over America...That;s when the economy started to drop.... also, when clinton took money away from our Military and security forces....our Special agency's (FBI, CIA,) were not talking to each other because Clinton's administration put road blocks in communications....That's when 911 happened....that also took us to another level..... I hold Clinton responsible for all this.... |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1361337 11/07/2012 02:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | so you think a republican could possibly get 100 % of the white vote? Quoting: Simple_Man That never going to happen 100%, probably not. Although Democrats get nearly 100% of the black vote, so it is possible. They wouldn't need 100% anyway. They would only need a clear majority and every election would be locked up for them. The current Repubs in the current time could never do that, but a different style and tactic once things are far worse for whites could. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 25908691 11/07/2012 02:59 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, let's see. How did Romney win? If you hadn't listened to what Faux and Rush were telling you, you wouldn't be so shocked. A candidate cannot win when: 1. he tells Latinos to "self-deport." 2. he aligns himself with sexist pigs who say that there's such a thing a "legitimate rape" 3. he ignores blacks and uses racist code words 4. he lies about his position on the auto bailout 5. he pisses off the Paulistas by shutting them out of the convention 6. he flipflops to the exent that nobody knows who he is 7. he doesn't release his tax returns and doesn't tell the truth about his finances. The polls outside of the RightWing Fantasy Land were correct. The Obama campaign used a scientific method of marketing strategy that was exceptional, efficient, and well-organized. And you cannot say that the election was rigged when Virginia, Florida, and Ohio have Republican governors and Secretaries of State and worked to suppress the vote among minorities. Face it. Your media sources are not telling you the truth. Wake up and join the rest of the country. |

Quoting: Bluebird You know that had to be popular with his supporters! Not true. What actually happened was that Republican governors asked for a waiver in their states, but the work requirement was not changed. This is just one example of people have been ill-informed. |

I like this site, but it is not representative of the United States electorate. In fact, I would say that there are more conservative users than there were when I first started looking at this site a few years ago. So what goes on at this site is far from what goes on in mainstream America. Also, I think many Obama voters just don't have the time or resources to attend campaign rallies. I also think a lot of people voted for him because he was the lesser of two evils. I think if Romney hadn't tried to appease the far right so much he might have won. Then again he might not have been the GOP nominee. wait wait wait he appealed to most voters? 50% v 48% 48% is half the fucking population gosh there really is too much bollocks being talked and no, i wouldnt vote for either candidate either, but please, lets get the basics right |
