RECOUNT!
 Quoting: Doomamatrix

popular vote does not matter, it is the crooked corrupt electoral voting system that decides who is president.

Obama probably sent out emails to all electorates threatening Martial law or accidental drone strikes on their families if they did not give the election to him.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5698850

It is a flawed system, one that should be reformed, but hardly warrants libel toward the president

I'm thinking the Republicans rigged it themselves. A little class war and thinning of the masses of useless eaters is exactly what they would prescribe to maximize profits.

Bush is not the reason the economy is where its at you lame people (Liberals) This all started with Clinton...When he signed into law that made it affordable that anyone.....and I mean anyone can buy a house. He said to Fannie mae and Freedi Mac that if you do not loan these people who cannot afford a home, you will be fined....Thats where these sub prim loans came in....everyone stared buying homes...it was crazy...then in 5 years from when you sign the mortgage papers, you payments will increase....These loans started to increase while Bush was in office....sure the economy boomed during the Clinton years because after he leaves office, the next President will have to worry about the mess...Bush cought on to this and had hearings, thepeople in charge...Barney Frank...said...Nothing wrong here, move along.....people started to loose their homes all over America...That;s when the economy started to drop....

also, when clinton took money away from our Military and security forces....our Special agency's (FBI, CIA,) were not talking to each other because Clinton's administration put road blocks in communications....That's when 911 happened....that also took us to another level.....

I hold Clinton responsible for all this....

But most people who voted have NO idea what you're talking about above. They have been brainwashed to think it was that Devil Bush! And that's ALL that mattered!

This is another HUGE strategic miscalculation by Republicans. Every time Obama would hit them with the "Bush" card, either explicitly stated or implied, what did Romney do? Nothing. The most he could muster is "Blaming Bush is not gonna solve...blablabla".

So even Romney didn't deny that it was Bush fault. If only on a subconscious, subliminal level, that non-denial automatically VALIDATED Obama's narrative.

And exit-polls showed that loud and clear -- while people hate the economy under Obama, they STILL if only reflexively blame Bush for it. That's a killer.

And yes, I understand why Republicans didn't want to "get into it" on an intellectual level -- because by defending Bush, they run the risk to only further associate themselves with Bush policies. They hoped to move on to another topic and pray that Obama wouldn't bring it up in a debate. But Obama is not stupid -- of course he would bring it up any chance he got!

Yes, for Romney and the Republicans to counter-act the Bush card, they would have to explain to people about Jimmy Carter era lending laws you alluded to. About Bill Clinton's repeal of Glass-Steagal act. About Fannie & Freddie & Frank (Barney, that is).

And considering that my generation of voters have an short attention span, to be able to "justify" Bush, Republicans would have had to have an incredibly SOPHISTICATED and yet very simply arguement. But apparently GOP didn't feel like they could trust Romney with walking that rhetoric tightrope in a live debate in front of 70 million people watching. "Too risky". "We don't want to bring up Bush unless we're forced to". "We don't want to look like we're bashing Bill Clinton because he's still popular". "Voters are not smart enough to understand how sub-prime mortage bubble work"....

Well yeah, they had a point there, but the ALTERNATIVE is even worse: when you DON'T fight back on Bush, you don't just throw Bush under the bus as Romney people thought --- no, you also ERODE very Republican Party, platform, ideology, philosophy and Republican Brand that's associated with it. Thus, by extension, validating all the outrageous libel Obama people were churning out.

Same thing happened when Republicans refused to punch below the belt, get into the fray with Obama after he kept attacking Bain, Romney's tax returns, or the accusations that Romeny would out-law abortions.... Yes, fighting those issues head-on would have been hard & costly in terms of advertising $$$, but that's what that billion dollars in Romney's campaign war-chest was intended for in the 1st place!

Yes, they GOP apparently tried to save every penny so that they could out-spend Obama at the end of the campaign and have a better-than-usual get out of the vote ground-game ---- but here's the problem with such tactic: yes, the ground-game is imporant, but by the time election rolls around MOST PEOPLE ALREADY MADE UP THEIR MIND. By not answering those character-assassination ads in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida during the Summer, Romney may have saved some money, but the damage was already done.

Irreversible damage, apparently.

no, my point was that it was Republicans/Mitt Romney who FAILED to do a better job explaining & educating the electorate. Thus leaving the intellectual vacuum that was quickly filled by the Obama's propaganda narrative of "Big Bad Bush".

Which fits into my larger over-arching point: Republicans handed Obama the re-election every step of the way -- from the nominating process, the Primaries, through the summer, a flat RNC in Tampa... all the way through very mediocre 2nd & 3rd debates, as well as VP debate that surprisingly went for crazy Joe Biden. And then there was Obama's spectacular Get-out-the-Vote ground-game that GOP just couldn't match...

And STILL Obama only won the election by a few 10,000 votes in Ohio, Virginia and Florida. Despite everything going against Romney, the MSM propaganda, bad timing of Hurricane Sandy, all minds of Democratic voter fraud..... Romney still almost won.

Which makes it all the more frustrating. It was right there, within reach... and POOF it dissapeared again like a mirage.

Liberal states like New York, California, and Illinois basically gift wrap most elections for Democrats. That is just too big on an advantage.

Texas is the only big prize conservatives have and that will change in a few years so Liberal control is a given for the next 100 + years.

Women turned out in record numbers.

And voted for their vaginas.

They get to keep them. They won't have jobs but they can abort away.....

Funny thing is the President has ZERO ability to control that.

It is done in the Supreme court....just don't tell the women that as they are handed pink slips and fired at record numbers.....along with their men counterparts.
 Quoting: FatalW1shes

This is the reason, OP, or part of it. Women voted for Obama 55%-45% more or less, and as women make up the majority of votes (around 53%), that's the ballgame.

For Republicans to win, they need to either run a woman or they need to run a man with the ability to emote like Clinton and Obama or things have to get so bad that women revert to the classic stereotype of looking for a strong man to save them.

Romney was never going to be any of those guys. He was too formal and still to emote, and he was too Wall Street to ever make a woman think he was the type of man to kill a rampaging bear to save her life.

Re: None of this is making sense....How did Obama win?
The whole voting process is rigged and corrupted. If no fraud was done during the election process, Romney would of won by a landslide. Obama Wins, America Loses!

Democrat voting fraud + George Soros vote counting = stolen election.

Well, it could confirm that voting is rigged. Could also confirm, that voting is a means of making people feel like they have say and some power - when in fact, it's all planned and the elite, are placing bets on all of this, at the expense of our divide.

Just a thought.

It's not JUST a THOUGHT. It is FACT and if all these people would just open their eyes they could see it loud and clear what some of us who were paying attention saw yrs ago......IT IS SET UP and YES it is set up to APPEAR that you have a choice when in fact you DO NOT.
If folks would just let go of FEAR....they would see it for themselves but they figure if they deny it that it will just go away.....DON'T WORK that WAY!

I think one thing that may have hurt Romney were the commercials and stories of business owners kind of threatening workers with getting laid off. I'm sure that had some kind of backlash.

the current republican party is reminiscent of the fucking nazi party and favors class war. thats how.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2100273
That statement is almost the exact opposite of the truth. The party that habitually divides and conquers, and pits one faction against the other, is the democrat party.

Re: None of this is making sense....How did Obama win?
so there are a few arguments as to why obama won in this thread;

Voting fraud, i've found no respectable evidence other than this blogger said that kind of bs.

Off the wall conspiracy organization, give it a rest guys.

Obama paid of the electorals, they are pledged to vote for their party and their names and votes are publicly known

Romney was a weak candidate, eh no more than the other nominees, he didn't loose by more then apx 25% in any state

Voters are ignorant, no shit, some of the people i've talked to about it don't even know who the president is or his party affiliation. and it's an issue of the education system, and our patriotism.

Voter turn out, the democrats have a larger turn out, that gives them an advantage. personally i'd be happy if my candidate lost and 90% of eligible americans voted. not that that will ever happen, the people are just not interested enough.

take your pick, obama is your president. Unemployment is down the wars are winding down a little people have more access to health care schools are getting more money, good things are happening. enjoy life and leave the petty squabbling to the politicians ;)
