The ruse that taxing drugs or anything illicit somehow legitimizes it is a dangerous way to "legalize" it.

Taxation itself is evil. Conceding that the guberment can tax your pot just so you can have it negates the fundamental philosophy of freedom to do what you want, free from guberment intrusion.
