It's the only way for us to get into the war with Iran. Obama won't start it, so Israel will have to. Then by treaty, the US will automatically enter the war in defense of Israel. Not the preferred way to start the war with Iran, but it's all we got now.

Because Israel can't wait another 4 years for a Republican president. If McCain won in 2008, he would have bombed Iran and the war would have been over and won 3 years ago! If Romney won this election, Israel could wait a few months for Romney to launch the first strike against Iran. But now with Obama back in office, there will be no strike on Iran from the US. Israel will now have to launch the first strike.
