BUT. ....as a miner for 30 years , I can tell you this, gold does not look like what you think you see in the images. Gold ore does not look like gold. Gold is also very heavy on the atomic scale.... It would not be on the surface. It would be at the bottom of the flood plains pictured, what you are seeing is chromatic aberration of filters used for the images.... The cameras on curiousity are not like cameras on earth, they do not take a normal picture. Images are gathered through wavelength light filters and adjusted for the human eye. Oregon Constitution Article I, Section 27 The people shall have the right to bear arms for the defence of themselves, and the State, but the Military shall be kept in strict subordination to the civil power. |

(In reality, it wouldn't - as already stated above - mining operations would be needed. How much do you think a trip to Mars costs, even for a small probe? Then add the mining equipment, and the personnel... Then add life-support for personnel... Then add the return trip, carrying all the extra weight.... Cost would be far in excess of what the gold is worth. Not financially viable. |
