I will work. I have two elderly parents and a little dog. Anyone that can help us relocate to Texas or Arizona or South Carolina? I don't care what happens to me but they don't deserve to live their remaining lives in this oppressive, corrupt state. It will get bad now, very bad. If you know anyone who has money and will help a small Christian family save their lives, let me know!

we first moved from Westchester NY to Texas 4 years ago, started a business, completed the move last year
things in Dallas are 100% better than the north east...
I had lived in Weston CT, when I drove down route 1 this summer, through Darien, Norwalk and Westport I was shocked at how shabby it looked...many yellowed store signs, many more "for lease" signs which were so old they had fallen off the windows
there was a shitload of waterfront property for lease in the heart of Westport...the place had that air of death about it
I talk to friends still on Long Island and its the same in many places on the north shore there as well....the slow motion car wreck of economic implosion
Meanwhile here in Dallas businesses of all kinds are booming, restaurants are packed, real estate is strong...and the cost of doing business is about 1/3 to 1/4 that of the NY metro area
I helped a friend get a job here after he was close to throwing in the towel in Michigan. He's 52 years old, had been out of work for 2 years, and was running out of the last of his survival cash
I found him an interview with a CPA firm, he drove down and got the job offer after the first interview, making $55K, which was his goal. He moved down here and 6 months later just bought a new car and his helping his daughter come down as well
His friends and family in Michigan had kept telling him don't bother, it's the same all over...saying crap like "at your age, you'll never get hired..."
I have no idea why people love being so negative and offer so much negative encouragement
People living in shitty parts of the world love to talk other people out of moving, keep telling them it's the same all over and other BS...misery loves company
I have helped young people from my extended business group move to Austin, and they love it there, I heard from one last week and he and his girlfriend are doing great. Lots of jobs in tech, lots of fun things to do plus cheap housing
But hey, who am I to convince you, right? Die hard north east snobs and the europeans who think like them will continually bash the southern US states, even if they have never been there....such willful ignorance
