So, Turkey is supposedely going to ask NATO to deploy Patriot batteries on the border with Syria.

Which is nice and all, but Assad is not using high altitude Mig-25s to bomb the rebels, he is using ground attack aircraft which operate below the Patriots range. In other words - this is just for show and that presumes NATO goes along with the request.

I predict Syria is going to grind along like this for a while. No intervention in the foreseeable future.

FWIW - Debka is reporting that the rebels have attacked Assad's palace and Damacus International Airport. Haven't seen any other sources reporting it yet, so take with a grain of salt.

Not worry all... Russia have defence agreement with Syria. And if Turkey start attack syraian planes with help USA, so russian cruise missiles destroy turkey SAMs.
