I am sorry about your son, but am very thankful that you are shedding light on this horrible drug. My 11 yr old son was given this drug about 3 weeks ago for asthmatic bronchitis. He has never before had asthma and was prescribed 60 mg a day. At one point he was told to double his dose...40mg at a time. After 8 days of this medication we were told to stop it abruptly. He was showing signs of arthritic pains and 'moon face'. His joints all ached and popped. He also had a very bad migraine, itching, and terrible abdominal cramping. After numerous trips to both the ER and Physicians office we were told it was post-viral arthritis, heartburn, constipation, etc. etc. I still believe that all of his side effects were due to this medication. He missed almost 3 weeks of school.
