They can't claim that GMOs are harmful because technically there is no accepted research study that proves this.

So what you are left with a is a weak argument for it on the ballot itself... and people that are not very familiar with the issue have mostly been exposed to the campaign against it through ads and mailers.

We are lucky it did as well as it has. I have been keeping an eye on the yes percentage and it rose a few points since it was at 50% reporting but now it's dead not gonna go up anymore significantly.
