Washington & Colorado Voters Legalize Marijuana

Washington was one of six states with marijuana on its ballot.

Voters in Colorado and Oregon also are weighing ballot measures legalizing recreational use of pot.

In Massachusetts, voters approved a measure to legalize marijuana for medical use, which is already allowed in 17 states and the District of Columbia.

Montana and Arkansas voters are also weighing measures dealing with the medical use of marijuana.

The Washington measure may generate as much as $1.9 billion in state revenue over five fiscal years, according to the state’s Office of Financial Management.

I disagree, since becoming a pot smoker I haven't touched alcohol beyond an occasional beer. Alcohol is toxic poison.

Its better than having crack, meth, bath salts in ones neighborhood.

The youth will get it regardless and its much better to get it from a store rather then a dealer.

True that, the desire for alchol goes way down for me when I have some green in me.

I cannot advocate legalization of any drug as legalization promotes drugs in a positive light.

I have nothing against anyone smoking pot, I just don't agree with legalizing it.

Not sure about setting limits for driving "under the influence"

DC passed the law 2 years ago and patients still have no medicine available to them legally.

The feds are in their yard so the city council is dragging their feet until they get a guarantee from the prez that the DEA won't intervene. Not likely

Nothing has broke thru yet, It still has to pass Federal.
