As An American, I Want The World To Know | |
| CrimsonBleu (OP) Old Medicine Woman User ID: 24534482 11/07/2012 10:48 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | To me it seemed that 90% of the rest of the world wanted the election result you gave them, so what's to apologize for? The world did not want Romney at the hands of the most dangerous military power on the planet. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23729414 Obama isn't much better, but at least we've seen how he operates and feel certain we can survive four more of that. Mitt on the other hand made it clear to all he could not be trusted with this power. He may have been good for America, but as outsiders we really only worry about what is good and bad for the planet, and Mitt's foreign policy sound bytes from his campaigning quickly put him in the bad batch. I guess the say 60% that didn't write Romney off because of him being a Mormon, simply saw him as a man who would walk into a diplomacy meeting with his fists raised. I can't remember exact figures, but typically the Democrats do not get 90+% support over Republicans even in the communist bastion, currently under a heavy capitalistic right wind. Even the progress party here who tries to sort of be republican socialists, didn't speak warm about Romney. There were a few selected exceptions, but their bilderberger party leader had an unusual low profile. Perhaps she didn't want any Romney inspired questions ahead of our own elections.... So yeah no apologies needed. There wasn't a need even when you gave Bush a second term in my opinion, but it was given and accepted then, and so when history repeats your apology for giving Obama a second term is forgiven too. I had no idea that what you say is a vast perspective on things...Thanks |

I'm not American..I have nothing against Americans or anyone else..but that guy comes across as a complete nutter. Some of the things he was saying were quite frankly despicable, and yeah, I don't think he would have balked at all in the face of causing WWIII. I can't understand how any of you would want someone running your country who has already fecked up so many Americans lives by ripping off companies, running them into the ground, and moving them to China for the cheaper labour? Is that what you wanted, really? I fso, please feel free to borrow David Cameron..he's got the intelligence of a fruit bat. |

Obama's drone killings or even the invasion of Libya did not kill 600.000 (or like 30 thousand 9/11's, if the US sustained a 9/11 on a daily since 2001 it would not have lost as many lives as Iraq) civilians like for example the Iraq war. Also from what Romney has stated on Iran in the election process it would make it rather logical the US would enter yet another fucking war in the desert shithole called the Middle East. Don't get me wrong if Iran decides to nuke or attack Israel it will be the end of Iran but preemptive strikes based on undoubtedly bad information are just as bad as 9/11 was. |

We all need to learn to live with less consumption. It's not an easy road to the next level, the consumptive past is not coming back anywhere in the west; you can be 'great' in other ways.. Mostly we rather like our NHS ( like your 'Obamacare' ), and the conservatives here are always trying to 'privatise' bits of it, (and reduce benefits), but that's never popular (although the press is always trying to paint all beneficiaries as 'idle', obese self-harming etc.) Give it time. It's true that we pay a lot in taxes for our social infrastructure, but most feel that generally the long term results are worth it, i.e, (mostly) low crime as people are further from desperation when they find themselves out of luck; in finance as well as health. Of course it's not all good, I know all the shitty stuff, believe me, but we're all in roughly the same boat ! Apathetic comes to mind, and OP you also reflect that. Why are Americans just accepting all that is happening? What happened to "land of the brave, home of the free?" Why are Americans giving up their freedoms daily? When did they start believing that helping each other was "socialist" but that paying the way for companies and politicians wasn't? I think the real problem in America is that you all just throw up your hands and say dumb things like you can't fight city hall whereas you used to rise up together and stop things like ....say....the Vietnam war. Those were the Americans the world respected and envied. Quit apologizing for your country and go join forces with those who would reclaim it stars |
