How do elections get called again? Like, with such a slim margin of passing for this huge measure, is there any chance we can see new elections soon? And if not, when is the next time we will see elections in Greece?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19209502

We'll see elections very soon, even New Democracy wants them, they can't govern the country this way. EU will also be disappointed with today's vote.

The presidential guard rocks man!
Seriously though, all debts erased with a military coup, they kick the banksters out, trial politicians for treason and declare fair elections. Banksters can declare war if they want, they flooded us with weapons anyway, don't think it would be easy.

US will be far worse when tshtf with guns and cops getting crazy brutal the last few years. In some cases US society is already in a worse shape than the Greek one, but Greece is in the forefront for a symbolism perspective imo. It's all about how the MSM portray the situation and i will give some examples about it.

US population 330 million Greece 11 million, so our factor number is 30. So, 40 thousand homeless in Greece 2 million in the US and i checked this number last year, 200 thousand people in Greece are feeding themselves in food rationing most of them immigrants and i don't even know whats the number of US people that are feeding themselves with food stamps, some say 50 million. Poverty rate US 15% Greece 20% and lots of other similar examples. Not saying we are not fucked here in Greece, off course we are totally fucked, but i'm saying that MSM certainly covering the situation differently regarding Greece, the whole western economy and world is fucked imo. The only thing that have saved US so far is the printing machines working overtime.

You can see this strange coverage even with Golden Dawn, which i'm far from a fan and fully disagree with their policies and condmen their actions, they got 6,5% in the elections and current polls show them between 10-12% and there is enormous amount of coverage from the multi-culti MSM against them although not a single illegal has died, no one is talking about the 1 Greek per week on average that dies on the illegals hands due to robbery and criminal activities and it's going on this rate the whole 2012, no one is talking about some of them raping young Greek girls one still in a coma, i don't remember so much noise for the Austrian far-right party that got 18% in their elections or in France where they got 13%, no one is talking about neonazi's in Germany killing some people including one Greek recently. Although i admit that GD is a pretty graphic party compared with the other two.

Rant over and as i said, all things are relative and MSM coverage is playing an enormous role in portraying a situation as they would want it to be. Bottom line don't trust the MSM, seek for info from people directly involved in a situation or a country.

Greek Tourism should fix everything, the BBC says so...

"It is far from doom and gloom for Greece. Outside the big cities there are no problems whatsoever," he says.

"Yet because of the adverse publicity surrounding the protests, they are some very good holiday deals to be had."

Hey DD! I can confirm this coz i live in the countryside the last few months, outside the 2-3 big cities life continues as normal, off course they are some people facing financial problems, but life is far cheaper, you can actually live with a ridiculous low amount of money.

Nationalism is the biggest threat to international banksters.

In fact, the EU boycotted Austria when Joerg Haider got into the government.

The media and the internationalist politicians always get mad cow disease when nationalists get up in a european country. They lie, make stuff up. Even more then they usually do.

They never do this about Israeli nationalism though, thats the clue where you understand who is truly behind this.

I follow Golden Dawn and their news on another forum, they do a good job and try to refute the lies thrown at them.

If the media would be honest they would praise Golden Dawn for helping the poor greeks in this crisis.

Yep, he was a great mascot, the anarchists are pissed coz the lady that currently owns him doesn't let them see him.

I needed a break from Athens, i work freelance online so job wasn't a problem and i actually enjoy my time here back in the nature, much more relaxed way of life, we also have a farm with horses and all kinds of animals and vegies, it's more fun than i expected tbh. Only problem is that i don't see my Athens friends that often but i visit from time to time.

The rant was not directed to USA or the American people, i was just saying that if they MSM want to, they can portray a certain situation that is far from the truth, i was talking with a Canadian friend the other day and he thought that people are dying from hunger here ffs. As i said yes the society is currently under extreme pressure, people are facing problems coz too many things have happened in too little time. But aren't people elsewhere in the world and USA face similar problems with homeless and poverty? Coz i presented numbers that a certain part of the US society is already far worse than the average Greek, if an MSM campaign started today revealing these problems daily for 2-3 years wouldn't people of US or other western countries be more aware about their situation too?

I posted this yesterday too but i will repeat, what most people don't know, is that the Greek household/private debt per gdp is the lower in the eurozone, most of the Greeks already own their houses and their stuff, the majority owns a piece or two of agricultural land here and there, if for example Greek household debt was like the UK or Sweden ones the complete collapse of social web would have happened in the first year. When this genocidal austerity shock doctrine will be implemented in other western countries and US, and have no doubt that it will at some point, the society collapse will happen in far less time than the 3 years that the Greek society has lasted so far. I fully believe we can still last one more year on current terms, but you see TPTB and the banksters won't let this happen, they want us to collapse and pushing for it.

 Quoting: tandym

My pleasure Tandym!:) All the best to you too guys there! hf Yep, most of the people here own their homes and lands, you don't have to be rich to own a piece of land somewhere, a very big part of the population if not the bigger also owns a beach or mountain house somewhere, off course not all of them owns their homes, there are currently about 150-200 thousand people who face severe problems with paying their mortgages right now. Banking vultures will come after both of our lands and homes soon unfortunately, they don't like people owning stuff, especially land.

I'm not living in limbo though, much harder days are coming in Greece and the world in general and we should all prepare and start learning to live with less and in a more simple way of life, this attack won't stop anytime soon, i'm just trying to point out that with all this Greece MSM coverage lot's of people are totally oblivious about the situation in their own backyard coz hypocritical MSM are not reporting it for some reason, i mean even in Germany the leading power of the EU, poverty rate is 15% and increasing and there are approx 250-350 thousand homeless people, thats 10+ times bigger than Greece when their population is only 7 times bigger (2011 official number of homeless in Greece is 20 thousand and the pessimist estimates say that they could read 30 or 40k this year). Nobody is even thinking or saying what will happen to a society like the US one which is not at all as homogenous in terms of differences between classes as the Greek one if the wages are cut almost in half and taxation doubled in just 2 years, a total lunatic austerity program is implemented here, public sector is on the brink of collapse and this will eventually take the whole population down with it, unbelievable pressure on the low and middle class. Off course not everyone is ok, there are lots of people who have debts and face problems repaying them and struggle to make amends and this number will only increase, but there are people who still spending crazy money like nothing ever happened and the majority that continues to live a relative normal life, lets be honest no one likes to have his wage reduced that much but this doesn't mean he is starving or that he can't still live with what he is making. Parents and families in general are also helping enormously and it would be far worse without their contribution in our society, they've pretty much saved the day so far imo, but they are also equally to blame as the politicians for contributing and allowing the situation all these years to reach to this critical point.

As a comedian says, never trust a Greek who is broke, lol, there's some truth in it, country's gdp reduced by 25% the last years, but the black market gdp in both employment and other services/activities has also increased by 25%, for some people this is the only way to make a buck in the current difficult situation and don't starve, Greeks are survivors, always have been, 20 years of spoiled-ness won't change this imo although i admit that people living in Athens will have it far more rough than the rest of the population soon.

We just have to adapt to the new data and live with less whether we like it or not, global financial system can't sustain the current western way of life, it's going to be a very hard decade for all the developed first world countries. Unfortunately. :(
