Where do you guys get this 'war on coal' business
Obama has supported the coal industry and particularly oil and gas.

I think coal workers obviously know that.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7061022

Nonsense
In his own words he said that power compamies burning coal
will go bankrupt ecause of these new regulations that are
his fault.

We need to get off the oil/gas/coal tit and move to alternative energy.

We need to invest and give incentives for new technologies which will also create a new economy.

But that won't happen, cuz the oil and gas lobby is too strong.

Anybody remember the first horseless carriage. I don't either, but I can only imagine how hard it was to get fuel for it. They worked at it and it has brought us this far.
The fact is alternatives do need more work to be efficient. If it can be done with oil, it can be done with solar and wind. Even if it only cuts the use of oil, gas and coal by half that is a big improvement.
Average Americans have had it with these industries and anyone who supports the continued dry fucking we are geting, is obviously thier whore.
I love capitalism and making honest dollars is quite satisfying, but constant market manipulations and outright price fixing needs to stop. And we subsidize these industries with billions yearly.
Why the fuck is this a issue that even has political sides?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17549114

Let's pretend the GOP are not evil nasty oil hungry bastards.

Let's just say they want to see renewable energy.

Now with that said, you don't replace an industry with something that costs 10x's as much or in Ohio's case 22x's more and force the change.

You come up with a cheap alternative first, then change.

Forcing people to pay obscene amounts is fucking stupid and pointless. Making them change before anything cheap is ready is stupid.

I would feel bad for them but they voted for Obama. I hope they get big raises.
 Quoting: FatalW1shes

I hear and understand what you are saying.
In the begining I am sure a car cost 10x's more than a horse and it was a choice to own one and that in todays society you really do not have that choice with electricity.

I am sure the people who chose to keep thier horse bitched about the cost of roads being built, but it was for the betterment of all.
Take every dime subsidized to oil and allocate it to this research. Wouldnt cost a penny more.

"Forcing people to pay obsene amounts" happens everytime you pull up to a gas pump. Normal supply and demand does not apply to big oil. The current price of a barrel does not support the price at the pump.

Let me paint a picture for you.
You are a inmate (American consumer) in prison and your being raped. There is a line waiting to take thier turn. Big oil is in you at the moment and at the end of that line is Alternative Energy. You cant wait to be fucked by alternatives because you know when they are done the fucking will be over. You are going to be fucked either way, but the sooner its over the better.

Siding with big energy as a politician just proves to me that they care nothing about the average American.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17549114

But it's a lie.

It's a lie they created. And people didn't have to have cars. We have to have electricity. We can have it for cheap but a lie was perpetrated and we are going to pay for it.
 Quoting: FatalW1shes

People who had horses paid for roads...just sayin. If peak oil is a lie then we are really taking a pounding. I know coal is much cleaner now, but with technology we can do much better.
I am by no means a tree hugger, I am a country boy with a 4x4 and love to sling a little mud and will take a chainsaw to a tree in a heart beat, BUT, these energies are dirty. We can do better and the way BP treated America over the gulf spill is criminal, yet had no consequence. Ever seen oil and water mixed? I have made several energy related discoveries. One is a process that doubles the current output of solar cells. I was waiting for the direction of America to change before releasing it. Now that the libtards are continuing down the path of fascism I need to find a God loving country worthy of it's use. Any recommendations would be welcome. With Coal on it's way out they will soon wish for the days where electricity was made for a mere $16 a megawatt.

It will now go to $167 per megawatt in PA. They will see the adjustment on their electric bills in a year or so and cry.

Oh I'm in Fort Worth Texas. There is a train that goes by daily that is full of coal cars full of coal.

The power plant on Lake Arlington is a coal plant....
According to 2005 data from the Energy Information Administration, Texas has 20 operating coal-fired power stations, including 40 generating units, totaling 21,238 megawatts (MW) of capacity. 39 of the generating units are larger than 50MW.

I have no idea how many there are today.

I do know Ohio is 88% coal powered. They are so fucking fucked I want to see the looks on their faces when they see their electric bills. Bastards turned to Obama again. They will soon pay for what they got.

What OP says will happen, it already happened in my province over 10 years ago when we elected our liberal premier

he invested heavily on solar and green energy the result was higher gas, and higher electricity costs

Green technology is not yet ready I dont' know if it will ever be

at the pace we consume energy, wind and solar is not a viable option
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26873559

"Green" energy has been available since Nikola Tesla discovered free energy which could have provided free energy for the whole world. But the profit loss off of us goy would have been too great so the technology was covered up only to be slowly unveiled for the masses many decades later. Same with oil. Electric vehicles and vehicles that run off of non-fuel sources have been around a long time, just no profits to be made. The Illuminati has gotten rich off of fractional reserve banking, drugs, and making certain wonder "drugs" such as cannabis illegal, oil, getting people away from self sustenance to buy their cheaply made poisons and gmo's and cloned meats and things they never needed in the first place, and power lines. The last 120 years has been incredible, the next 10 will end it all.

Electricity and fossil fuel generates the true wealth that the Pigs feed from (Milk and apples)...There is no real value in the symbols like gold or silver - these are inanimate objects. The real value is in animated objects and the 'farmed-out/managed' energy that drives the commodity called Human Capital and Consciousness. See Electricity as the simple food that creates the 'bait-bundle' (like plankton fed by sunlight),and those that control Electricity and Fossil fuel as the farmer or predator...always following that huge food bundle with taxes and cunning...Insatiable eaters of Human energy...Any simple resource like electricity that drives the Human Capital Endeavor must be exploited...we are Pig Food...ask George..

Yes. This world can run completely on 'alternative energy'. There are sun powered motor vehicles that reach the speeds of gas-fueled cars, but this tech doesn't buy mansions, Moet and BMW's...it takes the power from the 'Old order' and they fear it like the Princes and Princesses of Yor feared the Industrial Revolution. The same now as the true new Industrialists in their working class basements realise that sun is a big FREE gas station. The Creatures in control, like their rotten disgusting blood-line, are doing what their rich daddies told them - it is not about humanity... it is about us and fun times...

O is saying the best is yet to come.

Barack Obama may consider introducing a tax on carbon emissions to help cut the U.S. budget deficit after winning a second term as president, according to HSBC Holdings Plc.

A tax starting at $20 a metric ton of carbon dioxide equivalent and rising at about 6 percent a year could raise $154 billion by 2021, Nick Robins, an analyst at the bank in London, said today in an e-mailed research note, citing Congressional Research Service estimates.

But the government never had a campain saying we must buy cars and get rid of horses because they pollute the enviroment too much and the poop creates methane causing global warming. There were never tax incentives to get people off horses and into cars. Gasoline was also a by product at the time of the distillation of kerosene, and was poured into fields and burned as they did not have a use for it until the internal combustion engine was invented. Government had no hand in things like this back then. The roads came after the autos had taken hold, and at first were state and local endeavers.

Re: Say goodbye to cheap electricity
O is saying the best is yet to come.

Barack Obama may consider introducing a tax on carbon emissions to help cut the U.S. budget deficit after winning a second term as president, according to HSBC Holdings Plc.

A tax starting at $20 a metric ton of carbon dioxide equivalent and rising at about 6 percent a year could raise $154 billion by 2021, Nick Robins, an analyst at the bank in London, said today in an e-mailed research note, citing Congressional Research Service estimates.

TAX for the few. There is no reason why any First World Household needs to be on the fucking "National/global" electricity grid...You can make your own electrical power supply to take care of all your household needs and free up money wasted on the Old Order infrastructural system that goes with been attached to the Global Electricity TAX system! The problem is fucking bullshit Bureaucracy and GREED. Why haven't those in power being subsidizing this fucking very cheap tech????? Because they don't want to solve issues...It's human suffering that pays their fucking ludicrous salaries and Bonuses...!!!
