Did he make you sleep in the wet spot?

Please help!
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Last night was just as ordinary as any other. We went to sleep around 10., he wasn't drinking or drunk, he didn't really even drink many fluids last night. We went to bed the same as every night.

This morning the alarm went off and i rolled over to turn it off and there was very noticeable, large wet area surrounding my husband. It was clearly urine from the look and oder. He woke up when the alarm went off. He got up and went to take a shower. We didn't talk about it at all and went through our morning like nothing happened. Now I'm stripping the sheets to put fresh ones on and the smell won't come out of the bed.

We've been married for 5 years and this has NEVER been an issue before. I'm afraid to bring it up or ask him if he's ever had problems before this but I'm afraid I'll embarrass him.

Advice? Please?!

Send him to the doctor. It's probably medical.

They still hand out antibiotics. If you can get them to prescribe the ones that aren't really chemotherapy drugs, it might be useful.

Listen, the guy pissed in your bed with out a word of apology and expects you to clean it up .... you have a right to bring it to his attention regardless of the reasoning, medical or otherwise.

Over our 22 year marriage my husband has been "piss drunk" twice (thought he was was watering the garden with a garden hose once ?? lol), and he cleaned up after himself both times regardless of how embarrassed he was.

It's called respect.

Re: My husband wet the bed last night!!!!?
It sounds like he could be having prostate trouble. You NEED TO TALK TO YOUR HUSBAND!! Find out if:
He is having trouble peeing such as;
Holding it
Feeling the urge to pee often
Flow disruption
Prostate problems do very often effect men as young as in their 20's. You need to bring this up and find out how long he has been experiencing these issues and make him an appt. With a urologist. NOT your family MD. THIS IS NOT A UTI ( urinary tract infection) as he would suffer severe burning while peeing and he would most surely let you know.
I have seen many pt's reporting these type of problems ( bed wetting) when they have an enlarged prostate. The longer he lets it go, the worse it will get so dont be afraid to bring it up. He may appreciate the fact he didnt have too. Just suggest to him perhaps it would be a good idea to have his prostate checked.
Best of Luck!

My husband has had a few of these experiences. They've been more frequent as he's gotten older. He just turned forty-two. The most recent was about three days ago. He acts as if it's no big deal as well. I don't know if it's related or not, but mine has a HORRIBLE case of snoring and sleep apnea.

whatever

Is it REALLY that big of a deal? Talk about it and if it is stress related like my husbands, have him wear protection and put some plastic under the mattress pad. Problem solved. There are bigger things that one could have to deal with. Deb

If this is only a one time thing, likely he had to go in the middle of the night and had a dream involving water, or sitting on a toilet. I guess there is the possibility of a bladder infection but likely the above statement.

Re: My husband wet the bed last night!!!!?
I peed the bed once in my very late teens. I was dreaming of peeing and woke up finding I was. Now in my 50's, I struggle to last the night, and often have to get up early. It is not unusual for me to dream about peeing just before waking up (busting for a pee). Fortunately I have never done it since, but the memory is still with me.

I suggest that you speak to him, suggesting he reduce his fluid intake in the late afternoon.

Sugary drinks, sodas, alcohol, tea and coffee are all diuretics. Your only other option is a new mattress, rubber sheet and towels. Somewhat difficult to hide!

Once does not constitute a problem. If it happens again in the next couple weeks bring it up and get him to the doctor.

Your husband ruined the bed. There isn't no amount of cleaning that will get the piss smell and rot out.

Time for a new mattress...

peepants

Just confront your husband, and tell him you know he pissed the bed up. Tell him you refuse to sleep in that nasty bed, and make him go buy a new bed.

Make sure he isn't on some kind of hardcore drugs though, and that he won't piss up the new bed.
