Quoting: Super Bowl Dave GOP could have run a tree stump and I argue Obama would have won. Even if we had a candidate like Ron Paul up there, I'm not sure it would make a difference. This isn't about Romney. Yes, he fucked up and the GOP fucked up, but Romney ran a fairly effective campaign that focused on Obama's failures (and not attacking him personally) and gave himself a chance to win in the closing months. Romney was assaulted by a billion dollar character assassination campaign as well, as would have been any other candidate. Romney's background was comparatively fairly clean and free of scandals. The country's changed. We saw that tonight. I argue it's been gone since Reagan left office, but now it's officially dead. I blame the GOP far less and the voters far more. It wasn't so much that people just hated Romney and voted against him, what we saw were millions of people showing up because THEY LOVE OBAMA AND THINK HE'S COOL. If the GOP goes CENTER it has a chance to win elections in the future. It sure as shit won't ever win the presidency again if it's bringing in 30% latinos and 3% blacks, and losing women by an almost 60% to 40% split. The answer is in the CENTER R's find it impossible to hit the center target as it is always being moved leftward by the media and other libs. Smaller govt. and less spending is already "extremeist". Just ask Nancy. |

We are outnumbered by a coalition of liberal whites, African-Americans, and Hispanics. We are going to lose every election until we wise-up and lighten-up on the immigration issue. Hispanics have strong family values we need bring them into our fold by devising a pathway to citizenship that is appealing to them. Tea Party members will never prevail because you are in the minority, in the minority, in the minority. What part of those words don't you understand?
