The right of a state to secede was determined during the civil war. The states do not have that right. Texas however, entered the union with a constitution endorsed by the US gov't that specifically gives Texas that right. Regardless of what is right or wrong only Texas has a legal right to secede. I'd betcha a dollar even that would mean nothing. If they tried to secede a war would break out.

Many say this will never happen however. Look it up, secession is ruled as unconstitutional and will be fought but they can split into 5 states including TExas.
