PSE&G says its crews will try and work through the Nor’easter to restore power to the more than 190,000 homes and businesses still without electricity, the utility said in a release this morning. At the same time, the company released a new town-by-town update this morning with restoration estimates for those still without power. The effort, though, will be largely suspended where and when winds exceed 40 mph, according to federal directives that limit the use of bucket trucks in windy conditions. There are roughly 369,000 customers in New Jersey still waiting for their power to be restored. [link to www.nj.com] |
