Re: Election over let the layoff start: Boeing to cut 30%
Most of the layoffs cite here were announced months ago. They have no bearing on who got elected, short of idiot management fearing a healthcare plan that hasn't even been drafted in full yet.

What this really is, for those of you not to crazy and or derpish to see it, is a convenient scapegoat to keep the heat away from those doing the firing.

This country didn't become wealthy from a population of leaches...
 Quoting: Tanarus

Yes it did. We stole from the rest of the world with the federal reserve note as the reserve currency. We are a nation of parasites.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26957116

You obviously don't know your history bubba. This nation was wealthier before the federal reserve existed. That wealth was legitimately created by our ancestors. The federal reserve stole that real wealth and redistributed it to their mostly foreign cronies. America was not the parasite, America was sucked dry by mostly foreign parasites.

The guy who works for my irrigation system (auto lawn sprinkler) told me they're cutting his hours to 2-3 days a week.

"According to the Orlando Sentinel, Darden Restaurants, a casual dining chain best known for their Red Lobster, Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse restaurants, is "experimenting with limiting the hours of some of its workers to avoid health care requirements under the Affordable Care Act when they take effect in 2014".

Oh wait...."and the CEO of Darden is a big 0bama supporter and got a waiver from 0bamaCare."

"We rec. 2 announcements this morning as well. We are a full-service technology vendor for healthcare providers. We got 2 notifications this morning that 2 of our clients are closing down now, and are a direct result of last night's election loss. There are several others that have been holding out that I know of... hoping on an Obama/Obamcare defeat. Those 2 medical practices are a total of 12 physicians and about 40-50 support staff in total... not to mention our lost revenue, etc. I don't know how many more there will be, but I'm expecting the small-mid size medical practices to start folding up left and right. This is not looking good at all, some of us will likely be out of work before Christmas at this rate.
Thanks democrats, the economy is improving and only rich people are being affected (those dirty SOB's). 4 MORE YEARS! God I feel sick."

etc...etc.....

Check the Daily Job Cuts website for October and November we are losing far more jobs than the government statistics show nor can it be covered by Labor Secretary Hilda Solis laughable statement “even though the unemployment ticked up a bit, it only shows you that there’s confidence.”

The fact is as the Stock Market goes down more companies will layoff workers and close plants in an attempt to appear profitable to investors. These investors realize that obamacare will suck the life out of businesses and leave more employees stuck purchasing metered healthcare from the government.
