40 % REGISTERED INDEPENDENT BUT ONLY 1-2 % VOTED INDEPENDENT

Nationaly, 40 percent of voters are registered independent, NPA (no party affiliation) or are a third party such as Libertarian. The registered republicans are at 27% and the democrats are at 31%.

So why is it that this 40% who refuse to affiliate with the major parties vote for their defective candidates?

Independents are the majority at 40%. If they voted the way they are registered it would be a totally different game.
