| Anonymous Coward User ID: 24883093 11/07/2012 09:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The economy didn't collapse because of capitalism, it collapsed because of corruption. Capitalism is what built this country from the ground up. Capitalism is great at building a society's material wealth, for a while. Capitalism's fatal flaw is the uneven distribution of wealth, which ultimately undermines itself in the end by disrupting the fabric of society. That is why capitalism only works for a while but is ultimately doomed. It is ultimately doomed because it fails to represent all of humanity. No, I'm not spouting commie "make everyone equal" crap. But let me ask this, does capitalism, the philosophy that you must do whatever you can--including stabbing your friends and family in the back--to get ahead, seem like the way to higher thinking? Humans don't want to be like animals, yet capitalism is the most animalistic philosophy of all. Like dogs. |

Capitalism is what built this country from the ground up. Explain this corruption to me from Obama. Because on GLP knows that the economy crumbling in 2008 until now was a direct cause of President Bush. People who deny that are Republicans or uneducated individuals who are having a hard time coming out of the closet. Romney would have been no better in helping solve our debt; hell he wanted to ADD MONEY to our military budget that wasn't even asking for it (do people realize we spend more on our military than the next FIFTEEN countries COMBINED?!) Romney also mentions how he would have created "12 million new jobs" -- guess what? According to data trends and people who study numbers better than anyone on here, and certainly better than Mitt, have said that if we DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FROM THIS POINT FORWARD, that we would create 12 million new jobs anyway. I never said Obama caused it, but suppose you explain what GWB did to cause it. |
