Just like the whole Occupy BS. "Look @ me, I'm a loser and it's some successful guy's fault" Quoting: TDJ If I was dependent on a govt freebie I would be ashamed of myself. If I got more tax return than I paid in I would be insulted. Why do some here think that they are beating the system by contributing nothing to society? They are the real problem with capitalism. They contribute nothing but expect to still have things they want. Why is being dependent on any employer any better than being dependent on the government? I would rather have a society dependent on government than on private business anyday. DING, DING, DING - we have the winning attitude right here! Now you know how the loser really thinks. Why have a job, why work for your earnings, why contribute to society as a whole - hell sit on your ass and just be dependent on the government. Your way of thinking makes me sick! You have presented a false dichotomy. There is, in fact, a third way, if you read between the lines. |

I will also stop my yard service next spring (I like the exercise anyway), and I'm certainly going to discontinue most other needless services. Finally, I will make it a point to identify retailers of similar mind in my area, and will only purchase my necessities from them from now on - come to think of it, I dont need much of anything except food, and I have a bunch of farmer friends. Looks like I will be getting healthier to boot! You can't spend twice as much as you produce. I started taking what little saving I have out of the bank. I got little or no interst on the money anyway.
