Our Founding Fathers feared standing armies and overzealous Government. So the 2nd Amendment was installed as a defense against Tyranny. This is the reason why, even today, we have the unorganized Militia of Title 10 Section 311 in US Code. Times and Seasons change but the heart of a man never changes. Its evil and has always been. That's why we have a 2nd Amendment. And we're NOT going to give it up either. Ahh.. Thank you. That all I wanted to know. Remember that I am an outside party looking in, we don't all know your laws all we see is the storys in the news about kids getting shot eveyday, perhaps this is part of the problem, MSM making the 1000's of deaths look like a problem No Problem. You might be interested in what the 2nd Amendment says as well... "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed". Don't you find it interesting that these very guns that are supposed to protect us against tyranny are being limited by the very people (the government) whom they are supposed to protect us against? FYI, There are over 25,000 gun laws in the United States currently.
