Egypt Doom: Porn is Baned | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 27258662 Egypt 11/07/2012 06:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Porn has always been illegal here - and let me tell you, people get stuff through other means other than internet. Anyways, I have my doubts they'll be, just like in 2009, able to execute this decision. Maybe block some sites...anyways, I could care less. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27258662 Fyi you mentioned soccer and lights out, those are different issues all together. Soccer is back, as you saw last match in Alexandria where fans were allowed again and lights out will be at 12pm for some places and other 2am...I don't see what's the big issue with that. Excuse me, but the topic is EGYPT DOOM. Not, woah, here's some more feel good about our values legislation, or wow, there was a soccer game, or even that the lights may stay on past midnight somewhere (to save money? like people will be home sitting in the dark? really?). NO PORN DOOM ONLY, PLEASE. YOU are the one who mentions it in your condecending tone as if painting Egypt in bad way. the decision about porn in from 2009 - ok? AND - the lights off thing which YOU mentioned pertains to shops and restaurants and I think you know very well what the deal is with that. SO how about you stop acting stupid and if it's so horrible, you can leave back home, to the good ole USA. NO PORN DOOM my ass - it's always been illegal...I guess you support the exploitation of women. Suit yourself. Stick to the topic or I will bane you from the NO PORN DOOM THREAD. And I'm not playing. Serious business here. Sure ban me, that's how you Americans apply your freedom of speech, when it suits your agenda only, right? You are not a serious person obviously, get your facts straight and don't mix in other shit yourself (refer to your first post) - oh and did you post this same thing in 2009 when court decision was made originally? Witch hunt, that's serious business for you |

Quoting: AWFEKKIT Then they want to shut the lights off at 10:00 pm. Now, no more porn. [link to www.egyptindependent.com] The public prosecutor sent official letters to the Communications and Information Technology Minister, the Interior Minister and the head of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority on Wednesday ordering that they block pornographic websites. Public Prosecutor Abdel Meguid Mahmoud wrote that such websites show images that are contrary to the values and traditions of Egyptian society and the national interest, his spokesperson Adel al-Saeed said. well get yours asses to democracy and worship to jesus christ. then and only then you can have all the things the others currently take from you. |

Does it bother you I pointed out it's a decision from 2009? Old news lady...go get a life, apparently you're the one who's concerned with a possible ban of internet porn, where I could care less. Actually, I don't like the exploitation of women in porn industries and I don't like what it does to society and young boys...gives the wrong idea and picture. But maybe that's too difficult for some to understand. |

So let me help you. "The State Council Administrative Court in May 2009 decreed that the government should ban porn websites." Then, from this news article, posted today (Wed, 07/11/2012 - 19:00 - it's right there, at the top, on the left of the article): "The public prosecutor sent official letters to the Communications and Information Technology Minister, the Interior Minister and the head of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority on Wednesday ordering that they block pornographic websites." So since when is discussing a news article an assault on a country? Sensitive much? |

The assault is not the discussion of a news article, but your original post, referring to wider ranges of issues currently in our country. Get it? Keep harping away on how bad everything is post-Mubarak, never mind it's been illegal all along and the original court decision was made 2009. I know quite abit about laws - maybe you should read up about it. Back then the decision wasn't enforced because it was not possible "technically"...and we shall see what will happen. Why do you care so much? Have you checked how many other countries ban porn? Why is it such a big concern to you is what I want to know. Oh yeah...maybe because Egypt needs to just be painted in a bad light right now, is that it? Running out of steam there I would say. Anyways, I'm bored with you and your whining about Egypt - and I'm going to sleep now... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27218538 Look at this third world dump: "You don't see that in the brochures do you? Shitty old nappies flying through the air." 1.) A visit to the Khan Al-Khalily Bazaar, my fav-o-rite place in all of Egypt, a 1,400 year old maIze of stuff to see, hanging out in a tourist trap and wonders why he's accosted like a tourist. 2.) A visit to a KFC that only employs the disabled. 3.) A visit to the Pyramids, where he was greeted with a barrage-ish salute with the national flower (plastic bags). Lots to love there, but very little NO PRON DOOM. Last Edited by AWFEKKIT on 11/07/2012 07:06 PM |

"Secrete their poison," eh? A slightly secksual innuendo, if I do say so myself. |
