It should be noted, that most blacks in America by far are descendents of slaves.

Not descendents of people who came to our country willingly, but descendents of people who came on slave ships.

Descendents of people who had their culture ripped from them and suppressed, didn't have any family inheritance to pass down. The slaves got their 40 acres and a mule when they were liberated, but that's about it.

We are not that many generations detached from the generations of Americans who held their fellow human beings as slaves. Might not be as easy to get over as people would like to hope.

Your logic is flawed, oh dark one. Not all 'white' people were active participants in the slavery scandal 400 years ago. I am of Royal Irish descent. My ancestors did not reach America until the late 1800's, and the Irish are pretty much the 'slaves' of the white race and we had NOTHING to do with the African-American slave predicament.

Lumping all 'white' people into one pile shows your ignorance. After slavery was abolished, us Irish were pretty much the new slaves but we were not shackled together and forced to do the work. We built a good portion of the railway across America for wages that were next to nothing, this is how they controlled the new slaves. You need a job for a home and food so they gave you barely enough to survive when you had a bottom class job.
