Why is there no Not guilty by reason of Gods Will?
God spoke to me and said I need to help spread his word. He is tired of people being punished for doing what he tells them to. He told me that after I read a news story about a woman who drowned her two children because they were possessed by demons. The poor woman was sent to a mental institution for helping protect the world from the tools of Satan. God informed me that he DID tell her that, and her children WERE possessed. In fact, did you realize we only have three ways a trial can end. Guilty, Not Guilty, and Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity? At first I thought nothing of it, that Not Guilty must include because God told a person to do something. But I was appalled when I found out that not ONE time in America's history has a person been found Not Guilty because God told them to do something. Since then I have written several letters to my congressman trying to get them to add a Not Guilty Because of God's Will to the list of outcomes that a trial can end in. So far I have received no response to any of my ten letters, but I'm sure God wouldn't tell me to spread his word if it would do nothing. If anyone feels the way that I do, that we need to protect the rights of those God directly commands, I urge you to write your own congressmen about this important issue. We live in a country of sin that protects the rights of homosexuals, adulterers, and even mass murderers (primarily in the form of abortion, modern day serial killers just go to their local doctor) but God tells someone what's best and all of a sudden they are sent to a mental institute or prison? To any Christians, I STRONGLY URGE YOU to send letters to your congressmen about this important issue.

There is only one true God, and his will is not always the will of the person he speaks to.

Are there no good Christians who agree with me? Do the baby murdering liberals get all the rights and not the agents of our Lord?

Supposedly, "God" told David Berkowitz to kill women. God also supposedly told 9 men armed with box cutters to fly planes into buildings. What if I decided to go shoot every member of Westboro Baptist Church and said God told me to? I should get a pass? That is utterly, completely ridiculous. A truly loving God would never tell a mother to drown her kids, He would cast the demons out, were they possessed.

We won't even talk about the Constitutional guarantee of separation of Church and State ... why shouldn't atheists get a similar "Get out of Jail Free" card?

Obviously I don't think just anyone who says God told them to do something should be set free, I'm only talking about the people who God really talks to. I find it very hard to believe that God would tell someone to harm the Westbro Baptist Church, but then again he works in mysterious ways, we don't always know His reasoning.

So who judges who really heard from the Almighty versus who is nuts or making it up? There is no way to know - that's why such laws do not exist.
