I know a few people that are becoming more aware of our fucked up system after Hurricane Sandy arrived. This storm really brought out the full brunt of true colors for sure.

I was in Houston for Ike and it sucked but we where prepared and didn't loose our shelter. It was hot during Ike. With the amount of damage done by Sandy to highly populated areas these people are fucked. Those people are going to freeze to death. They have cut the water and natural gas. Everything they own is wet. They are going to start lighting shit on fire and that's is going to cause major problems.

FEMA is obama’s lip service to the government dependent these useless idiots strut round with clipboards collect paperwork and tell people why they cannot help them. Their primary role is to help with restoring the infrastructure of communities impacted by disasters.

If these useless twits would have helped, with clearing Hudson River Tributaries after Hurricane Irene in 2011, future flooding could have been alleviated but they did nothing. The only thing provided by obama and FEMA has been lip service however some resorted to frontier days where we help each other and the Church helped which is definitely not the goal of the government.

Common every day people rise to hero status during storms, adverse conditions, and not our useless communist government who strive for photo ops and lies under safe conditions.

I've read so many posts here from people who are seemingly without compassion and have said some terrible things about the storm victims . . . add to that, Chris Matthews saying he's glad the storm happened - and add to THAT, the digusting failures of the government - once again - to help the citizenry in need.

Most of the country apparently thinks it was a big storm, did a lot of damage, and they've just picked up the pieces and business as usual . . . I read one report that said some areas won't have gas service for several more months because sea water got into the lines and they have to be replaced . . . and other places where NO ONE is helping.

What the hell has happened to America and humanity?

I think us common folk need to go back to the good ol days of tar and feathers.
