My daughter lives in Kansas and in spite of claiming allegiance to Romney after the GOP convention, she voted Obama. She wizened up as time went on. Yay she's off to a good start for a first time voter!

I'm not really sure, but I was really surprised because in high school she even supported George Bush.

I talked to her today and I was totally surprised that she voted for Obama. I asked her why and all she said was "he seems like such a jerk! He just doesn't seem like a nice guy."

The US population is FIFTEEN times the size of the Aussie population AND 47% or ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THREE MILLION people pay ZERO taxes, but are now going to be entitled to "unlimited" free healthcare.

Tell me my Aussie friend, just how are the other 174 million of us who do pay taxes going to be ABLE to pay for our own medical care AND the medical care of the 153 million who do not pay anything toward their own medical care?

Just exactly how does that get accomplished?

Those of us in the US who opposed passage of the National Healthcare Law did so because we know that such an all encompasing mandate would break the country and eventually cost us our national sovereignty.

The national Healthcare Law puts government control over nearly one fifth of the US economy. Let that statement sink in.

One state in the U.S., California, is the world's eighth largest economy (for perspective, Australia has the world's 13th largest economy). The National Healthcare Law puts government control over nearly one-fifth of ALL the U.S. states' economies as a group.

Think of the effect this control (crushing of the free market) will have on not only our nation, but economies worldwide. It is simply unsustainable. Plain and simple.

Those of us who oppose The National Healthcare Law are not against healthcare for all, it's just that we understand simple math. Thus, we understand very well that passage of the National Healthcare Law was the death knell of the USA.
