I live in New Jersey. There is no swagger here. Just awful traffic, the highest property taxes in the country, the worst roads in the country, a huge third world population of Indian urgent care doctors who don't know what they're doing, African truck drivers, and illegal Mexican warehouse labor.

The moneyed finance class exists by splitting the state into over 500 separate municipalities and implementing suffocating property tax in the own towns to keep the filth out.

Without us you die of starvation as you produce absolutely NOTHING.

...and that is why I welcome our separation.
