Boo Hoo! Senator-elect from Maine complained that the rule requiring 60 votes to overcome a filibuster "is not part of the Constitution."

Bet that sucker doesn't pull out the 'Constitution card' on Obamacare, etc etc etc.

Harry Reid is getting ready to wreck havock like we have never seen . Raise the debt limit .Raise taxes .Carbon credits .Gun Control . He is a power Hungry Basterd and now there is no one going to stop him .

If the Republicans win in 2016, this will backfire on the democrates. They will then bitch and complain to change it back to the way it was.

Exactly Harry Reid Has used alot of Political Stunts Fillibustering ect. and now he wants to make sure the otherside can't use them back on him . Democrats should not cheer Harry on .

First of all, the filibuster doesn't appear in the Constitution. Secondly, in the last few years the Senate decided that for a filibuster all you had to do is say, "I filibuster."

What Reid wants to do is to take the filibuster back to it's orginal idea. The filibuster will exist, but you have to DO the filibuster. That is get up and read the phone book if you want, but you have to stay on the floor of the senate and actually verbally filibuster.

This will make it clearly obvious who is opposing what and the electorate can decide who is doing what. Or we can get rid of the filibuster and do up or down vote.

Any of you Repubs remember all the Repub horseshit of "up or down vote! Up or down vote!"
